Does anyone know of a dupe for this candle scent. I was sniffing candles at a local craft store and absolutely fell in love with this smell. So much so that I just had to buy it...like I really need another candle:tongue2: Anyway, this scent seems to have a little lemon in it along with a super rich custard base. Hopefully someone will have some insight into my newest quest:o

Are they the clear ones? Maybe enough of us called about them that ellipso decided against discontinuing them....if so there will be many happy chandlers:)

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but those have been discontinued. I think it was earlier this summer when I got the news....ugggh.

Rustic Escentuals now sells KY's products. They have a pretty good room spray but I'm not sure if it is the one formerly sold at KY. HTH:)

Hi Michele- I am not sure if the air fresheners made with aroma beads smell more than the cardboard ones because I haven't made the cardboard ones yet. I want to make them as well though but just haven't gotten around to trying them yet. As far as the ones made with the aroma beads I find that they smell pretty good but I am still not satisfied with how long they last. I'm not sure if it's a flaw in my procedure or not but in general I am lucky if I get a week out of good smell in my car. That is actually why I was going to try out the cardboard ones....do you find they last a lot longer with good throw?

I love the idea of using a business card or something pre-cut. The only question I have is when printing info to go on the front and back it looks like I would need to upside down on half of it. Is there a trick to doing this...I don't have a clue as to how to switch printing directions. I use Avery and printshop if that matters.

Anyone know where I could purchase the ones that I could put in my printer for labeling my air freshener bags? TIA

I got one box from eclamshell and that's exactly what mine are like. I am finding only about 1 out of 3 are acceptable, and I am using the word "acceptable" very loosely.

Just got mine today (along with a couple others samples to try) and it smells awesome!!! I was kind of Leary buying a pound of it without ever having actually smelled it but I'm so glad I did:)

Just wondering for those of you who ordered this fo from the prebuy if you have received it yet? I placed my order on June 22cd and still haven't received it. I contacted Rhonda last week and she said it would go out last Thursday but still nothing???

I burned the one in question but I am making more this week with varying amounts of vybar and fo so if I get it again I will definitely post a pic. That probably would help to diagnose my problem

Thanks for replying scented:) I'm not sure what would happen if I backed down on the fo and still added the vybar. It just seems so strange that with the addition of a bit of vybar that there was actually more leakage of fo. With the first candle I did without the vybar there was just a few tiny dots on the top of the candle once it burned down 3/4 of the way (none before that though) but with it there was a full dewy layer almost right after lighting?? It is that weird dry film on the surface of my finished candle that turned into the "dew". Is that appearance and/or functional change typical of vybar?

I have been experimenting with 4786 and in my attempt to give the ht a boost have tried increasing the fo load to 10% with promising results. The problem I had with a few is about mid-way through I have a few beads develop on top of the candle once it hardens. They aren't liquid like raw fo but are hard wax beads??? I am still assuming they are fo so to try to elliminate this by adding 1/4tsp vybar per pound of wax to my next batch. Well, the result was confusing. This new candle has a strange powdery/dry film of sorts on top. When I burned it for the first time this film when heated turned dewy. It looked like someone had spritzed the entire surface with water. I thought vybar would help the wax hold the fo more not push it out? The hot and cold throw are both very good but I'm unsure of what to do about this or even what it is. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I was hoping someone could help me locate a company that sells lids that would fit xl jars. This particular jar is actually smaller in diameter than the apothecary jars but because it doesn't taper at the top none of the standard lids fit it. It measures 3 3/4" There is one glass lid that does fit it from libby but I was hoping to find a metal one or at least something that has a little more flare. Thanks so much...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Moonshine: How do you like the molds from impact? In your opinion how do they compare to others you have tried? I know a lot of people love eclamshell molds but I am very disappointed in their quality. Maybe I got a bad batch but they are definitely thinner and much flimsier than the ones I have gotten in the past from ah/re and candles and supplies. Half of them close so tight that I end up bending the crap out of the mold when trying to reopen them and I have sliced my fingers a couple times on the sharp edges when trying to get them out of the box because they are packed so tightly. I should say though that they are half the price of what I have gotten in the past so maybe I shouldn't expect so much or be so picky???

I started with one but I loved them so much I ordered another one. The silicone that they use is great and the little pumpkins pop right out after about 20 or 30 minutes. I have a mini football mold from them too which I love too.

I haven't tried them yet but my next order is going to be from impact. They do require a rather large order but maybe someone would be interested in co-oping with you.

I'm not sure what size molds you are looking for but I purchased mine from candles and supplies last year. I just love them...they make the small pudka pods. I put them in little cello bags with a cute tag and ribbon.

I'm glad to know its not just me:) I had hoped by now I would have found the solution but unfortunately not. Actually my search for better quality clamshells got worse after my first (and last) order from eclamshells. They were definitely a better deal money wise but as far as quality...not so much. As far as my stinky feet scents the only thing that seems to help is keeping them as fresh as possible....cutting down my fragrance load also helps a bit but then in turn makes them less strong. Still no problems with the portion cups though....go figure?

I am testing some 3" granite palm pillars with csn 11, 12, and 14 and although they are burning like crazy. CS recommended the 11 and 14 and I thought I would throw one in the middle to cover my bases but all of them are burning slightly erratic now that the candles have burned down some. This is my first experience with the csn series and they seem to have a rather large stalk height and was just wondering if that could be contributing to the extra heat and flames that are doing the jig. Sorry for the hijack:)

Yes, the ones I'm referring to are from eclamshell. I am just soooo disappointed in them, I think only 1 in 5 close (or should I say open) correctly. I called them about this and they were nice but said that they have never had any problems before. They told me to send them a couple of samples of the bad ones and then count how many are like that in the box and they would replace them. Sounds good, but that is going to take quite a long time to go through 800 plus clamshells because they are packed so tightly together. I actually cut my finger trying to seperate some of them. I was really hoping to hear that this was just a fluke seeing there has been so many great reviews on them:( I checked into impact before ordering from here and the only reason I went with eclamshell is because of the 2 case minimum that impact has. Are there any other places that sell these for around the same price but with better quality? This was my first time ordering in bulk....almost half the price but not sure if the hit I am taking on quality is worth it.
