  1. I'm with you on the tart warmers. I love my tart warmer. I just figured it was cheaper to give the warmers ($4.49) and wickless than an electric tart warmer ($19.99). But I guess if the dang thing is going to explode, I'm better off with the tart warmer...don't want to burn down my relatives and childrens' teachers' homes, LOL.
  2. I posted that! I was shocked. I have no idea why in the world it would explode. I'm really curious about para/soy blends. I googled the heck out it and came up with nothing.
  3. Yikes. I was reading the instructions for my new candle warmer (Sensible Aromas by Provo Craft...Wal-Mart). It says, "Never use the warmer with vegetable wax based candles. Using vegetable based wax candles on the warmer is likely to cause the candle to explode." Holy Moly!! Anyone know if this is true for parasoy candles?? I was planning on giving relatives some parasoy wickless and candle warmers for Christmas. Now I'm not so sure. Phoeey. Anyway, just wanted to pass along the warning. D
  4. Hey all I'm trying to duplicate a Gold Canyon candle scent for my neighbor (she wants some tarts). It's called Cozy Christmas and smells awesome. The description is: A spicy fragrance of clove, apple, cinnamon and orange. Any suggestions? I'm not particularly crazy about mixing my own right now Thanks! D
  5. I'll give it a try Not sure why they're selling the same warmers under three different names (Cozy-Up, Sensible Aromas, and CandlSense..and no, that last one's not misspelled...that's how they spell it). Thanks for the input, Fern D
  6. Hi all! FYI, if you are nervous about the Cozy-Up Warmers...don't go to Wal-Mart. I picked up a candle warmer today and was a little irritated to find out it's a Provo Craft one (same makers of the Cozy-Up), just a different name...Sensible Aroma. I'll give it a whirl, but I'm betting it's the exact same as the Cozy-Up..to hot D
  7. Gotta love these big companies and their customer service, grrr!
  8. Hey Terrie, Here's the info I've found. Not sure on where to buy it though: http://www.igiwax.com/candle_waxes.shtml Not sure if that helps or not D
  9. Thanks guys. I got some 6006 today and realized it's way to soft for tarts. Phooey. I'd love to try a para veggie blend for tarts. Guess this means more searching!
  10. Hello Just wondering if anyone has tried these and what your thoughts on them are. I'd be using it for containers and tarts (if it's not to soft for tarts). They seem very comparable, so I thought I'd see what you guys thought Any opinions would be appreciated! Thanks so much! OOPS...guess the Victory Blend is now IGI 6098
  11. Phooey. I just ordered from KY. Guess I'll have to place another order My FO space is running out. I started out with about 10 FOs and have about quadrupled that amount now. I guess the addiction has set in
  12. Thanks, Scented! That's what I wanted! Just wanted to see if you guys had an opinion! I appreciate it
  13. Just bought JS Bazooka Bubble Gum. I figured my two girls would like that one
  14. Hi all! Just wondering if anyone has ordered from www.fragranceoilheaven.com and what your thoughts on their FOs are? I looked at the sites that rate suppliers and they had good reviews, but I love to hear what you guys think! Thanks
  15. Thanks so much! I posted last week wondering if there was a chart like this. Exactly what I wanted Thanks!!
  16. "SatinDucky: I don't do tarts, but I am curious... why do candles need to cure for scent throw, but not tarts? " Well that's what I was wondering. I usually do like Fern and as soon as they're set, I'd pop one in the burner. I recently put one on that I'd had sitting in a poly pro bag for a few weeks and had originally been disappointed with. BUT...after sitting for 2 weeks I felt like it was stronger smelling. Of course, it could just be the whole candle nose thing. I was just wondering if anyone else did cure there tarts and if it made a difference.
  17. Hi all! I'm just wondering if it's necessary to cure tarts. I do a 75/25 pillar/container preblend for my tarts (not soy). I'm an impatient person , but I do want super strong tarts. Do you guys cure your tarts? Thanks D
  18. I know we're all in search of the best scent throw possible. I have read that some people do add vybar to preblended wax. Does this work? If the wax is a pre-blend, wouldn't the vybar end up doing the opposite and inhibiting the scent throw? Any thoughts? Just curious as to what you guys think D
  19. Don't buy Candlemaking for Dummies, LOL It was an impulse buy, I swear. I knew it was a dud when it said, "Candlemaking is a great inexpensive hobby". WHAT? Inexpensive my a**, LOL Just my $.02.
  20. Thanks guys I LOVE the April Downey Fresh, but love the smell of Tide too and thought it would make nice tarts! I appreciate it!
  21. Hi all Can anyone recommend a good Tide scent? I'd love to get a good clean smelling Tide scent. I'd appreciate any thoughts! Thanks!! D
  22. Thank you, Laura! That's just what I wanted I appreciate it!!!! D
