  1. Beautiful soaps...my fave is the blue sugar...so I take it that fo does not discolour like the pink sugar?
  2. That baby is so cute!!!!!!!!!!! I like the hat too!
  3. Georgia...I paint the glassware with a glass paint that you bake in the oven for durability...so the candles are poured after. What you can't see is that the second and third candles are painted on all four sides with a different flower. thanks again for your compliments...I have a show this weekend ...hope to sell these!
  4. I pack them in small organza bags, they are about 3 by 3 and I can fill 5-6 with the 2 cups.
  5. That's a monster for sure! Is it for a special occasion?
  6. Thanks all...I love painting I find it very relaxing....I particularly like painting flowers as no two are alike in nature so you can't go wrong. Ginger I have been painting for 13 years...it was my first passion.
  7. I make a very thick slurry with my gm powder and add it at trace so the lye doesn't turn the soap dark. I have never tried blending into the oils...does the lye discolour the soap this way?
  8. I use the all natural corn cob bedding from the pet store....very absorbent...2 cups of corn cobs....add 1 ounce of FO..put in jar...you can bag it after 3 days. My customers are quite satisfied with the strength of the sachets.
  9. I think someone in the classified has some for sale? I just close the top and slap on a label...I charge $3.00 each or 2 for $5.00.
  10. I posted my handpainted soy wax candles in the candle gallery....thought I would post some of my other glassware for you to have a look. The first pic is my one of a kind girlfriend wineglasses which I will offer custom painting as well. The second is my pansy design wineglasses, plate and decanter. The third pic my martini set...the pitcher is much larger than it looks in the pic. And of course cups and wineglasses for the red hatters.
  11. I love the princess chair...my 5 year old granddaughter just had her room redone in pink and purple and we call her princess...this would be perfect for her. Better not show it to her! :smiley2:
  12. Thanks for your lovely compliments...I love painting and candlemaking...nice to be able to put them together!
  13. Here are some candles I have poured in my handpainted glassware:
  14. Nice crisp layers! Looks great! I also use those containers for my hand painted soy votives.
  15. What does the coconut oil do? I don't do a lot of soy but I am curious.
  16. Thanks for your experiences....I also really like the pink sugar fo...just got another pound in my last peaks order. I wonder if there is anything you can do to prevent crystals from forming?
  17. I had about 3 ounces of Peaks Pink Sugar left in a 16 ounce bottle. It had crystals in it almost like real sugar. The FO was purchased in March so it wasn't old. I needed to use it so I tried warming it up...they didn't melt...so I stirred the fo into the hot wax..the crystals still didn't dissolve...I ended up straining the hot wax to remove the crystals. Anybody ever have this happen before? I have been making candles for 7 years and have never had crystals form in FO before.....just lucky or is this an unusual experience? It is not a big deal but made me very curious.
