I shipped an item on Dec 2 usps priority. from Northern Cal to Tucson AZ. It is not there yet! Last tracking update was Dec 6th. According to usps it "will arrive late" ya think?

Any suggestions or thoughts appreciated. If its no good I wanna know that too. Thanks!

@Lighten Up did you ever find a good substitute for CS' very vanilla? I'm so discouraged with them and their clean scents.

I think that is a good idea, start out with small quantity and figure costs. 10 pounds of wax, a dozen tins. CS is a good one stop shop. I can do a mock order for supplies and get total prices and shipping cost. Shipping costs will vary of course, I am on the west coast, so maybe someone on the other side of the country can do a mock order too so we can get a shipping cost range?
I have to admit I've never even considered factoring in my time for sourcing, partly because I love to "shop" for FO's etc. But yeah, that is a LOT of time spent, and if I was paying an employee to do it, it could be a big expense.

Yay!
what kind of candle?Soy 464, 8 oz tin, 6% fo colored wax.. Is that too specific?

I love this idea! I know I need to raise my prices, but have been reluctant to do so. This exercise will help me "justify" . Can we start with a candle. then maybe a bar of soap?

Just saw where Brambleberry is doing a sweepstakes thing on instagram instead of a sale.

be sure and give us your website when you are up and running . I am always looking for suppliers on the west coast.

I suspect we won't be seeing as many deals from suppliers this year. Anybody know of any yet?
-
Those are beautiful! sorry I can't help you with suppliers.

I've been doing the q-tips in a baggie, but never thought about putting them in a jar! Great idea!

Now that cooler, less humid weather has arrived here, my candles that contain soy do the exact same thing. Shrinkage...
you may try pouring cooler to reduce the %of shrinkage, but it’s kind of a thing with most retail soy blends.
"it shrinks like a frightened turtle!" (sorry, I couldn't help myself) 🤣

Whose pumpkin spice do you like? I'm loving pumpkin pie from BCN and also the one from CS which is a milder, sweeter one to my nose.
I am trying FB's pumpkin cupcake now. I just used up my blend of pumpkin pie spices from lonestar and JS/ lonestar seemed too sweet by itself but the 2 together 50/50 was good.

A good seller for me is a 50/50 blend of CS oakmoss & amber and CS mac apple.
Aztec fall leaves is another one. I just got FB blackberry sage, haven't tried it yet, but smells like a good fall one.
I won't even mention (pumpkin spice) but yeah, it is a best seller.
coffee latte scents are also good ones

Did they finally soak up the FO? How wet are they? Do they stick to the sides of your container? Can you still see liquid? I have baked some when they were still a bit wet. They turned out ok. I did not notice any difference in the finished product, but it was really hard to spoon the beads into the cookie cutters. And it tends to smoke more when you bake them. Much easier process when all the fo is absorbed. I have had to wait weeks for some fo's to absorb.

I bought some anhydrous caffeine from a destash. Wondering how I can incorporate it into my lotion. Should I put it in the water phase? I would think if i put it in after lotion is blended it would be too grainy.

Well, it might be a good thing.. If WSP continues to offer the "free" shipping . I have often wanted to try RE fo's but the shipping cost was too high.

Favorite/ Best Selling Fall/Winter Scents?

No. I haven't tried any of CS' reformulated. Heard so many bad reviews from ya'all I don't want to waste my time and money. If I have to (basically) start over on the reformulated scents from CS, I figure I will look somewhere else and start over with them. Does anyone know of a good replacement for OM &A?
