  12. LOVE THIS!!!!! Couldn't have said it better myself :-)
  13. http://www.candles.org/about_faq.html Here is a great site to check out. I personally use a parasoy blend and LOVE it. Would not change for anything! It is so much fun and I hope you both have a blast :-) There are alot of helpful hints her on this site as far as suppliers that will help you out alot!
  14. Well it is not that easy. You have to try and test both and see what you like better. A candle business is not something you can start in one day unfortunately. It takes ALOT of testing to get it just right. If a candle is made correctly it does not matter if it is soy or parafin. It will burn clean and evenly if it is made correctly. I personally would not do two lines because I have one that I am bery happy with. Just my opinion though..Most people are very willing to give you tips and help out but noone will give you their exact recipes, etc. as it took them a long time and lots of testing. I would suggest you get a kit of both and see what you like better. Most suppliers sell kits to try. I may add that candle making is not cheap either :-( It took me probably a year to get my candles where I was 100% happy with them. Good luck and happy candle making!
  15. I have used a parasoy blend for 6 years now and wouldn't change it for nothing! I use zinc wick and love it!
  16. Holy Moly they are expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I have always used zinc wicks. I am sure you can get a hole puncher with a smaller hole somewhere also.
  18. I sit them on top of the jar and use a hole punch my wicks dont go anywhere. They are not tight but works perfect for me. I use a regular hole puncher and just leave about an inch on each side of the jar to balance it. Works like a champ and you can get 1000's off of one blind!
  19. I use (3) 51's i my 6" bowls and they work great! My bowls are metal not ceramic so I would try 51's or 60's.
  20. I use mini blinds cut up. You can make any size you want and I hole punch where I want my wicks (Single, double, etc.) You can get 1000's off one mini blind and works like a champ! Throw em away when they get messy.
