  1. just an update on my curing bars of Cierra's CW....Smells Great! It is my replacement to Bert's CW, and have already ordered 2 more lbs..It has been such a long time since I made a batch of Berts CW without it being in a blend..I got her last bottle of CW right before she went oob, and it was only 15 oz...been stretching it and only blending, but If my memory serves me right I think Bert's was more potent in strength than Cierra's version in soap, so I would suggest definitely using 1 oz/ppo in cp.
  2. Their Fruity Rings is a really good seller for me and it's lemony smelling too and strong scent in cp. Got it for a kids line but adults are loving it too! you might want to try a sample and see how you like it...Lemon biscotti sounds nice...I'll check it out, thanks Lynn!
  3. Enabler you, I must resist, lol! I've almost ordered China rain, seems I read it's strong too and I need more soaps in the clean smelling category. I may have to break down and get that one! Thanks!
  4. Can't wait to soap the lemon sugar..Here's my list so far.. Lemon sugar Cracklin' birch- completely out. Men love this in soap and its strong fo Bite me-been wanting to try Perfect man-" " Jungle love--" " Some more i really like is aqua di gio, fruity loops(strong in soap), amazing grace, yeah for yummy ( one of ng's new lush dupes and it's strong in cp),very sexy for men, blue sugar, caribbean, blue hawaiian, bermuda triangle, Are there any more must haves that I should consider?
  5. I sure was hoping NG had a good dupe since they're my main supplier:-) Thanks Kitn! Gonna add this one to my list.
  6. Who's do you like for cp soap? I was looking at NG's since I'll be placing an order pretty soon, also noticed Elements has it and Just Scents...All of these seem reasonable cost wise but I don't want to waste money on a dud..Tia
  7. Thanks so much for letting me know. I order several oils from NG and will include it on my next order. I like to blend chamomile with lavender. Customers really like this blend, and I was hoping NG's was good since it's so reasonable in price too, which is great since I'm going broke ordering so much lately.
  8. I'm down to about 6 oz of chamomile fo and unfortunately my supplier went oob..needs to be skin safe and will be using in cp soap. Tia!
  9. Just cut all my soap logs... I'm really sick with runny nose and sore throat and can't really tell how they smell so well, but the Sweet Nothings seems lighter than the other 2, and it is now a creamy beige color, I just knew it would turn brown, but so far so good.. best I could tell last night to describe the smell of it is sort of like a sugar cookie vanilla type, with some complexity to it. It is a milk soap so it will probably change as it cures... Twilight Woods- discolored to a light creamy golden beige Cool Tropical Breeze- I don't detect any discoloration whatsoever.
  10. just cut it, and it's discoloring like Bert's did..light purplish gray hue , now I did pour some in a sample mold, which did not gel and it's staying white except for my blue swirlies..hth..
  11. I cp soaped some of these new L S fragrances tonight. I gelled all of them in a warm oven and did use coconut milk in all of them, but wanted to report before the sale ends. The Twilight Woods smells like it's a dead on dupe to bbw imo. Can't quit sniffing this one..I've used a couple other suppliers versions and LS smells more accurate, will have to see how it holds up at full cure. No A light beige discoloration best I can tell right now..itp swirl red oxide Cool Tropical Breeze type- didnt have any problems soaping this one either..colored the whole batch light blue, and keeping the same shade so I'd say D is unlikely. Nice tropical fruity a little citrus. Very relaxing too. So far I'm really liking this one too.. Sweet Nothings- I didn't color this one, as I assumed it would just go brown due to the vanilla smell. No problems soaping this one..as soon as I added the fo it turned a bright yellow. Cooling on the counter..complex vanilla type smell with a little sweetness to it, will have to see how it is at full cure, I grabbed some samples of Japanese cherry blossom too so will be trying it soon.
  12. I use Cajun's Eucalyptus Spearmint in cp soap..Strong, It's a very nice dupe of bbw version,imo...
  13. Just got through soaping four 4 lb. batches tonight and Cierras Cool Water was the first, I used my hard bar recipe, which the iodine number is 52. 70 % hard oils soaped around 120+ degrees at 1 oz/ppo...I added some coconut milk also, sodium lactate, Kaolin clay, td and did an itp swirl using some ultramarine blue, and it didn't give me any problems..My recipe always traces quick anyways, so I work like lightning and I did use the stick blender so I don't see this fo causing any problems very little discoloration if any as far as I can tell. I like to gel my soaps in a warm oven and have already taken it out to cool. No cracks either, and smells Amazing and strong and will definitely be ordering more in the future..Dh just took a whiff of it and said, "It's off the chain good!"...
  14. Next time I order from them I may grab a sample then. I noticed Southwest Candle Supply has a skin safe Lavender & Chamomile FO, but haven't heard much about this company. Would be nice to have it already in a blend like this.
  15. Absolutely, hopefully if all goes as planned I'll be soaping tonight and I'll be sure to post how it behaves and smells.. I agree with you about Bert's and I always would turn on the exhaust fan whenever I soaped hers too,lol..
  16. I order some oils from NG and noticed they have it too, and was interested in trying it, but seems I've read somewhere that it fades in cp..
  17. I received my bottle of Cool Water today from Cierra ,and Judy is correct! I can't thank you enough, Judy!:-) Cierra smells identical to Berts version imo. too.. I even got out the coffee beans and have compared several times now, so this will be my go to supplier for cw from now on. I would sure like to buy more fragrances from Cierra if any one knows of any other must haves from them. Shipping was super fast too,I am so impressed with my first order. I am soooo happy, and this has made my day, Judy! Thanks again!!!
  18. Candybee, I'm running low too,and checked their website and luckily it's still safe for bath/body. I mostly blend it with the chamomile-which is from Berts and now must find a relacement,grrrrr..it sells very well, and is a nice and relaxing scent. Just be prepared and have everything ready and it should soap just fine for you. I don't color mine, I leave natural and add about a couple bags of chaomile tea leaves to the oils before I begin mixing.
  19. I need to take back what I posted earlier about BB's cw dupe being inferior. It is very strong!! Almost nose hair burning, just like Berts. I guess my sniffer wasn't working so well that day and had been smelling lots of fragrances, and tonight I haven't. Mom said, it's just as strong as the bottle of Bert's. She said no wonder it's so expensive.
  20. My Mom just come by to visit and she's a die hard Bert's Cool Water lover. I got out all the cw fragrance bottles and side by side oob sniff the BB and Bert's are very very close in comparison. I just hate to pay $44/lb though. I sure hope some of these less pricey cw samples will compare. Millcreek is very weak oob to them and doesn' t smell the same. Hth..
  21. I definitely will, as soon as I get it I will post how it compares oob to Bert's. I sure do hope it works out, cause I've sure spent a lot of $ trying to find a replacement. I really do like the blend I mentioned (1/2 BB 1/2MC), tried it in the shower last night and its really nice and a skin sticker. If none of these others are satisfactory then I may just go with this blend and maybe tweak a bit since the BB version is stronger than MC's, and I do still have a little bit of Bert's left too for blending. The large bars of this blend are not quite cured yet, but took one bar to the market this weekend to ask customers opinion how it smells and all were positive reviews, unfortunately none of my previous die hard Bert's cool water customers were there.
  22. I mostly use lavender eo or CS. I've got a batch of MC's Lavender Fields curing it's more of a "lavender clean", and not like the essential oil. I think it will appeal to customers who like the clean smelling type soaps. I also soaped some of Peaks Lavender blended with Bert's Chamomile, and whoa Peaks Lavender is really strong and has some herbally floral notes imo. I've heard that Tennessee Candle has a true smelling Lavender but haven't ordered from them before, but hope to try it sometime. Hth...
  23. Can't wait to try it out, Judy! I ordered it yesterday and they have already emailed shipment notification:-)
  24. Thanks Candly. I'll have to check it out, and like that it is reasonably priced. BB's version was $44/lb. I think.
  25. It does for me too, have to have everything ready and work super fast. I've been blending it with chamomile in a goat milk soap.
