  10. Hey all this was posted earlier. I would also try either fresh steps crystals or tidy cat.. This is a silica sand that comes either in granules or pellets. I am going to mix crystals and rock salt to see how they react. You can get these at walmart in pet section. Kyle

  14. Vermiculite is mica that is heated and expanded. Perlite is volcanic rock that is heated and expanded. Vermiculite is brown and looks like cork. Perlite is white and looks styrofoam. I am testing both. The kitty litter i think that was mentioned. Is the new fresh step not clay. I have purchased some fresh step. This comes in granular and pellet form. I have the granular. I also purchased some rock salt. What I am going to do is a scientific study. I am going to weigh out equal amounts of all of the above. To include corn cob also. Then mix equal amount of the same fo and see waht absorbs the best and throws the best. I will post results soon. Kyle.
  15. Kimberly. What fos do you use? What company do you buy them from. Thankyou Kyle.
  16. Candleman they are ground up corn cobs. You can buy it very reasonably at pet stores. Wal mart...
  17. Thats a dirty trick that has been around for years. Sample is full strength. Then when you order the larger amount is diluted. I would never do business with that company again.
  18. I almost forgot. I also purchased some rock salt. this was .83 cents for 4 pounds. Really clean and uniform size. Im sure when the snow flys. I will be able to get for a lot cheaper.
  19. Hello evryone. I found fresh step at walmart. What I bought is small granules. They did not have the beads. The 8 pound bag was 12.83. From looking on the website that was posted. This material is silica sand. I will keep ya all posted as to my findings. Kyle
  20. Has anyone ordered from this company? There located in minnesota. They claim there fragerence oils are super concentrated. Usage is 1/2 ounce per 3 lbs of wax. The pricing is not too much higher. Sounds like a good deal if true. Thankyou Kyle
  21. Wow that tool is cool. I am going to buy one asap. I hate wicking jars. My hands are too big lol. I have used long nosed needle nosed pliers. This tool will greatly improve the wicking of jars for me.

  25. Would like all your opinions on starting a candle biz. Do you think with the economy and prices going up. In this climate? Should I start a new biz or wait? My opinion is with prices going up. May lessen competition and sharpen evryones skills to watch the bottom line! Thankyou Kyle
