  1. I use that wax too but I mix it with xcel. Try adding your FO at a higher temp. I add my FO at 185 and get great results. I pour at 145-155. I also let them cure a 5-7 days before testing.
  2. I am so so so excited. I had that 9 day show last week and a lady purchased my melts and fell in love with them. She owns a gift shop in the next town over and said she HAS to have them in her shop. I went to meet her today to get all the logistics. The best part........ she's a Scentsy rep and said mine are way stronger and last way longer.
  3. I do the freezer trick as well. Works like a charm. I've tried to pour out while it's still liquid but I make a mess every time. lol.
  4. I got them from foodservicedirect.com Today was the last day. I didn't do as well as I hoped, but I really won't know for a week or so when I get my check. I think it was a little over $400. They have another one in November so hopefully I will have my Christmas scents ready then.
  5. Thanks! Tomorrow is the last day of the show. I haven't checked in for a couple of days. I'm not doing as well as I hoped but I think part of it is because I only have a couple of fall scents and that's what people seem to be looking for. My 2 fall scents sold out so I need to take more in today. One good thing is that I had a lady from a gift shop contact me about having my product in her shop so that could turn out to be a really good thing.
  6. I price them at $1.75 and they sell well. when I have an open house or party I will do 10 for $15 and most people will take advantage of that.
  7. That's great! Good luck on your next shows!
  8. First day of the show was today! So far so good. If everyday is like today, I will be happy.
  9. Thanks! It is really fun. The only thing is the furniture is all for sale so if someone wants those tables, I have to redo the whole booth. lol. But that makes it fun too. There's a really cool piece of furniture behind my tables and I'd love to have used that. They do this show 3 times a year so I hope it's a good one.
  10. I set up for my first show (well, with this biz anyway). It's a 9 day commission show. I don't have to be there the whole time. The furniture is there already so I kind of make due with what there is. Not the kind of show I am used to but I've heard it's a really good one. I'm going in tomorrow to add a bit more.
  11. I looked. No no no no no no no no! I've never ordered from them but have been wanting to try. Maybe just a few. I already have enough new scents tested to last me through next summer though. lol.
  12. Wow, that's amazing!!! I have my first show starting this week. Great job!
  13. Love it! Great color. Monkey Farts is a great seller for me also. Fun name, awesome scent. I love that you named it for her.
  14. You can download free barcode fonts and make up your own. You just have to put the * before and after the codes to make it work.
  15. I charge $4. It would be nice to sell them for less but I already feel the profit isn't what I'd like.
  16. Congrats!!! That's great that people remembered you and that they remembered you weren't there last year!
  17. I love bear claws. How about Fresh Baked Doughnut? I know, creative. lol. It's early.
  18. They show on their site which ones aren't available at the time. It will say "item available in on Sept 9" or something like that.
  19. It bugs me too that they don't have the shipping amount available. Shipping is kind of high for me so I just add it on to the final price. I add about $2 to the price of each warmer's wholesale cost when estimating the shipping price for ordering. There's no way I could sell them for $12 and make a decent profit. I try to compare my prices to Scentsy since I think that is the biggest competition warmer wise. I don't know if they do this with everyone but for me, they take the money out with an estimated shipping and then put the money back in, and then take it out again with the actual amount. It us usually a couple dollars less than the estimated one. It's kind of annoying, but I love their warmers.
  20. I have the dye and FO ready to go in the pour pots. I also use the presto pot for only melting the wax and ladle it into the pour pots when it's ready.
  21. They don't have a minimum order but they do have product minimums. The Illumination and dish ones have a minimum of 6 (any style) and the plug-ins you have to buy 12 (any style).
  22. I use a mixture of EcoSoya PB and EcoSoya Xcel. I love the results I get. I prepare the pour pots with the dye and the FO first. I heat the wax to 185 and ladel into the pour pots. Stir for a minute or so and then pour into clamshells or portion cups at about 155.
  23. I use a 25 watt bulb and get a great throw and I use about 7% FO.
