  1. I would say that dirt would produce the same results.

I use the carpet freshener with my bagless vaccum cleaners and have not had any problems. I always empty the canister after each use so there is no difference. Once again, it's no different than dirt particles.

  2. I'm not familiar with that wax. It might not even be a wax that is meant for container candles, though some container wax does pull away from the edges.

You might try one of the candle kits that is available at one of the candle companies that supplies candlemakers with quality products. A couple of businesses that I can think of that sell these kits are www.bittercreek.com and www.peakcandlesupply.com They have put together kits that have compatible wicks, wax, fragrance oils, etc along with instructions that will allow you to make successful candles.

Happy candlemaking. BTW, it's very additive and you may end up spending more in the long run once you get started. :)

  3. I think it depends on how busy the shop is at the moment you visit as to whether or not the owner would have time for you. I know of a gal who just goes into the shop with brochures, pricelist and samples and drops them off to the owner. She then calls back at a later date if the person is really busy and can't talk at the moment. She also makes it a point to never leave the stuff with a store clerk because she said that never resulted in any orders.

  4. Welcome to the message boards. Some of my favorite FO suppliers are Bittercreek, Peak Candle and Candle Science. I like KY Soy too.

  5. they did...

as far as wax is concerned i use Peaks the shipping is not bad to here in AZ. There is soylutions up in OR they only have soy though...but most of the West coast suppliers want CRAZY prices for their wax...IMO.

I normally purchase my wax from Peak's too because it's normally cheaper with the shipping.

I wonder if the wax is so much more because of where it is delivered from? I think most manufacturing is done on the East Coast.
