Well figured out one problem. If I use the insert text icon, the program crashes. If I use the insert text drop down menu, it doesn't crash. Go figure. Hope this might be helpful to someone.

Meredith...where did you get product liability insurance for 21 bucks a month? I would definately like to find it that cheap ! And has been pointed out in different threads on insurance; it probably would not be an individual suing you, but their insurance company (so they don't have to pay a claim if they can get out of it). Just my 2 cents.

Even if you get an LLC in another state (which you would still need an address in that state), you would have to register as a foreign entity to do business in your state. And that would most likely cost you the same as setting up in that state (at least that is the regs. in VA, I assume it would be the same in most states to keep people from getting cheaper deals in other states.) Sorry.

Hey All,

Anyone else having troubles with Design Pro constantly crashing? It worked great for about 2 days, but now is useless. It is really pi**ing me off! I guess even though it says it works with Windows 7, it does not. Just venting.

Have searched for fixes but apparently Avery doesn't care enough to provide any. Anyone happen to know of any fixes for this program? I really do not feel like buying a label making program for a hobby. And for some reason Dell did not provide my new computer with a product code for the preinstalled Word program! This is another company going quickly downhill. Sorry, more venting.

According to Masterbuilt, they have permanently discontinued the line. Bummer. Yea, I know, too much time on my hands at the moment. But I did pick up the one off Craigslist today! Don't know why, will probably never use it. But if I need it... And it is new and still sealed in box (yes, I opened it and checked ). Sweet.

I have been testing the Witches Brew in tealights and small whisper jars (in GG palm). As these are not big containers, I have been testing in a bathroom that is about 60 square feet. The HT is pretty true to the CT; a bit "understated" - "sublime" - that kind of thing. I personally like the HT, but as I am having other issues with the testing (which I shall post about later in the appropriate forum), I don't really want to draw any firm conclusions yet. But all in all, I like the scent. Hopefully I can get it to throw a little more.

Just to throw this out there...Australian Bamboo Grass (NG). It's not an eastern incense type fragrance, but there is alot of bamboo in the orient :smiley2:. It reminds me a tad bit of Japantown in San Francisco for some reason. Plus it smells pretty good, IMO.

Looks very nice . Interesting colour for the Witches Brew. Am I correct in assuming that is from MW? I am currently testing that FO in small Whisper (102) jars. I coloured mine with green and a touch of black to make it an interesting dark green. But I digress. I do like the presentation, and love your labels. Definately something I would buy if I saw it.

Well just for S & G's I went to Craigslist to look for the Masterbuilt unit and found a new, still in box, one for $75! Talk about luck! I figure sometime down the road I may want one and since they are out of production....:smiley2:. Going to get it tomorrow.

I do not need one of these, as I do not sell, but it got me interested and I went looking. Seems they are no longer in production. I checked MANY sites and it always seems to say out of stock or discontinued. So I think the Cajun one is your best bet, or find one used. The Cajun fryer seems to almost mirror the Masterbuilt one. Makes me wonder why the Masterbuilt one is not produced anymore. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Hi All,

I am hoping someone could direct me to a Peach FO that has good CT/HT in Palm wax. I am not a peach lover, so in all my FOHO'ing I have not sampled any. Now my Mom wants me to make a nice peach smelling container for her (yes, I make candles for my Mommy ). I have read her several descriptions of Peach FO's and she just wants a straight peach scent.

So if anyone could direct me towards a nice Peach, I would appreciate it. If I decide to try several places for samples, I will end up ordering alot more than I can test in the next year :rolleyes2.

Exactly what type of wax are you using? Is it a container blend or is it a pillar blend? Also, where did you purchase it. If you could specify the wax, I'm sure someone would be able to offer help. And welcome to the board :smiley2:.

It does not really smell "light" to me (OOB). Actually it smells a little "rich". That is just me, though. It is quite the interesting fragrance! But I wonder what a little vanilla would do to it... I just may have to try that, thanks for putting the idea into my candlenose addled brain!

Well just poured Merlin's Forest with feather palm! The whole place smells great! Looks like I'm off to the prebuy . Only one problem...I am doing a burn test on a 12 oz beanpot with Harvest Moon (NG) at the moment, so I have competing FO's wafting through the house. Candlenose here I come!

Well, I just received my samples from Rhonda. Only 22 different ones...looks like my weekend is shot :smiley2:. OOB I liked most of them, so now I simply have to do some pouring to test them. That's only 22 pounds or so of wax! Crap, I'm such a FOHO!

I am a member of VFW, but they don't do any type of business liability insurance I could find. Also tried USAA (love their cheap auto insurance), but they do their business insurance through Hartford and no real price breaks. I appreciate the website given and will give it a try.

Believe it or not, but none of my OIF/OEF reps can help me with this one. Also hours of web searches has yielded no results. Hoping maybe someone here might be able to help. I am trying to find a company that offers decent prices on liability insurance for service disabled veterans. I am not selling, but planning on donating some candles to various groups, as well as to family members. Figured I would have my bases covered, just in case. Of course I am hoping to get insurance as cheaply as possible!

Checked all the label suppliers I have bookmarked (way too much time on my hands at the moment, LOL), and all I could find are 1 2/3 inch. It's not quite the 1 3/4 you were looking for, but you may have to give it a try. Of course the supplier you use also has that size, so...

I just poured the Orange Clove from NG last night (GG palm in 12 oz beanpot). It has great CT and reminds me of when my Mom would make her Thanksgiving ham! Hopefully it will have great HT as well. It's probably not what you are looking for, but it is well worth a try.

I picked up a double burner hot plate at Wallyworld (29.99) to put my pour pot on after transfering wax from presto pot. Since it has two burners, I can have two pour pots going at same time with different FO's/colours, etc.
