    I was wondering when others test burn if they do a power burn on any of their candles. I dont sell my candles but I do gift them to family and friends. I got a couple of containers back from my son and boy were they a mess. It looks like they never trimmed the wick when they relite it or just let it burn for hours and hours. Lota of mushroom stuff they just let fall into the container. I think when we test burn we check it after 2, 3, and 4 hours and keep the wick trimmed. I dont think most people really do that, they just light it and let it go. Kay

    After 2 months of testing eco wicks with 6006 on two different containers I cant seem to find a wick size that gives me the right melt pool dia. and depth. If I get the right melt pool dia. the depth is way to deep. It I get the right melt pool depth the dia. is too small. I have read most the posts on 6006 and wondering what other wick might be a better one to use on this wax. Any input would be appreicated. Thanks Kay

    I use a heat gun to melt the glue and it comes right out. It also removes wick stickums. Kay

    Is there a general rule as to how far apart you should put the wicks when double wicking? Does it depend on the container size? I am using CS 16 oz tins which are 4" dia. by 2.4" high, they do have a raised part in the center for one wick so the closest I can put the wick are 2-1/8" apart in order to get them to be on a flat surface. That would put them about 1" from the edge. Kay

    Lone Star candle supply has wood wicks. http://www.lonestarcandlesupply.com/ I have never used them but sounds interesting. Kay

    It sounds like your either not getting them secured enough in your container or the surface is not clean. I had one pop loose when I poured my wax I was reusing a container and didnt get it clean enough. I got mine from CS Kay
