same as always EL Soy Mil... and HTP104

Peaks Vanilla HAzelnut really throws for me, that is when I make 1 at a time. Well a week ago I made a batch (64oz, 4oz of FO), made 4, 16oz jars. Now I have no throw. I added FO at about 160 and poured at 110. What happened? :(

OK I just placed an order for Lavender Love Spell Tuscan Nights Ocean Fresh Linen Cinn Buns Red Currant Honeysuckle White Tea and Ginger French Vanilla Its going to take a few days b/c they are out of the honeysuckle, but I cant wait to start testing again.

Well Im waiting, what throws well for you'll in Soy?

Again Im using 100% Soy, 1oz PP, 2 HTP104's. I lite it at 5:30 am, I went up stairs to check my emails as soon as I walk out of the computer room the smell hit me. :grin2: I obtain a full MP around 6:15-6:20 am. I really like the scent, Im adding it to my line.

I spoke to soon, I tested Peaks Juicy Pineapple and Baby Powder last night. :angry2: :angry2: I guess I will not be adding them to my line.

Can you reccomend one that throws well in 100% soy?

What does it smell like?

Will try ocean, did yo usay it smelled like food? As far as the BRV, I poured one last week and it was weak!!!! Have yet ot burn it

I thought about adding that but I dont think its relavent. I love fruity scents but hate floral scents. That does not mean that someone else is not going to love floral scents. Im more concern with the throw and if the candle smells like its title.

Tell me what you think, again Im using EL Soy Mil Blend.

Do you have others test your candles as well? I do, but now I passing along a card to have them complete, the card looks something like this: Sweat Pea (peaks)/Soy Mil Blend EL/HTP 104 Cold Throw 1 2 3 4 Hot Throw 1 2 3 4 Full Melt Pool 1 2 3 4 Fragrance Match 1 2 3 4 Do I need to add anything else

...Im placing an order today from peaks, Im familiar with the food scents and the some of the floral scents. Please help me with this order, I need to expand my line of scents. By the way Im using the Soy Mil Blend from EL.

Well, I sell these to friends mainly and ask for thier opinions. Im pretty hard on myself, I have candle nose somewhat. I may sell a 16oz jar for $3.50 (cost to make candle) just to cover my expenses. I have actually sold 2-3 of the sample from Peaks (Caramel Apple) to co-workers, I have test burned this one using J223 but never Soy. I also give quit a few of them away to co-workers after I burn them (they understand that it's a test burn). I let them burn after I burn get thier opinions and burn myself later to ensure a complete burn. Rest assure nothing leaves my house without a test from either me or friends.

I have one soooo strong it melted the rubber around the dropper.

Im using a dye from a company that I love but the dye is so concentrated and the jars are messy and the colors are difficult to mix. I have one jar from Peaks (red dye) and its soooo easy to use. It ask for one drop and I deliver. With the other company one drop equals about 3-4 b/c the dye pours out of the dropper before I can squeeze it.

Has anyone had any negative testing experiences using Peaks FO? I have not, I know that I MUST test in order to get an accurate measure of what Im looking for. I will admit that I have cheated in the past. I have sold a few candles using Peaks FO that I have yet to test. NO COMPLAINTS!!!!

the liquid portion of the candle while it has been burning for an hour or so. That is how you measure depth. You can look inside of the container to determine if its full.

The instructions never work for me, I mean none of them. Peaks have been the closest (is that a word?). But anyway one company told me to use 6%, NOT, Peaks says use 1/2 oz per pound NOT. I use 1oz pp of peaks, Im usually dead on the money when using that formula. Also peaks Vanillas and Flowers are pretty strong but I still use 1 oz pp.

Could it be that you added your FO at to high of a temp? 185 is pretty hot, I add mine at 170.

Well Im using 1oz pp (peaks) and ONE wick only usually drowns on me (double wicking).
