My melt pools are anywhere from 1/2" to 3/4" in a 16oz jar. Is this too deep?

Well I have a sample pack arriving today from Peaks, hope it doesn't smell like feet. I will make it tonight and let you know next week what I think.

I almost always end up with a line around my candle after it settles after a burn. I dont think this is normal, could this be because my wick is too big?

Yes you should try the strawberry kiwi, as far as the watermelon, I was sooooo happy with the throw that Im just going to chaneg the name. I will post later asking for suggestions.

Please advise, I have heard that Peaks has a really strong FO that throws well in 100% soy.

Is the best!!!!!!! Has anyone else tested this FO. I tested the watermelon yesterday, the throw was great but it smelled more like sweeeeet watermelon candy than fresh watermelon. May have to change the name on that one.

I tested the Moonlight Path this weekend, the throw was actually toooooo strong, It made my eyes burn. It was really manly, smells somewhat like a grandad smells (Brut/Musk etc...).

Peaks GA Peach - Med Strong Watermelon - Strong Mary Jane - Very Strong Caremel Apple - Very Strong Gardenia - Very Strong Sweat Pea- Strong Jam Me Crazy - Med Strong Vanilla Hazelnut - Very Strong Moonlight Path - Very Strong These all work well for me using 100% Soy I still have plenty of testing to do

Let me add that the watermelon has been sitting in my office this morning with the lid off and the cold throw is excellent. My office is about 225 SF so Im very please with this candle.

Both by Peaks, using 100% Soy, 1oz pp and 2 HTP104's Watermelon - Strong, I was really suprised. I can really smell the watermelon in this one. GA Peach - Strong I will be adding them both ASAP My nephew says they both smell like bubblegum.

I use two HTP 104's, apparently I had candle nose that night on top of teh cabbage i cooked.

How much wax do they hold and how long does it take to completely melt it?

I need a presto pot

My plan using 4 pouring pots. Step 1 - Fill them with enough wax to pour 4 candles each Step 2 - Place 1 pot on double burner (old school) until temp reaches 175-180 Step 3 - Remove pot 1, place pot 2 on double burner Step 4 - Add FO to pot 1 at 165-170, mix well. Let cool to 100-110 (45 min) Step 5 - Remove pot 2, place pot 3 on double burner Step 6 - Add FO to pot 2 at 165-170, mix well. Let cool to 100-110 (45 min) Step 7 - Remove pot 3, place pot 4 on double burner Step 8 - Add FO to pot 3 at 165-070, mix well. Let cool to 100-110 (45 min) Step 9 - Remove pot 4, add FO at 165-170 mix well. Let cool 100-110. While wax is cooling prepare your jars, molds etc...... Once pot 1 has reached its pouring temp, pour. By the time you finished pouring pot 2 should be at its pouring temp. Repeat until all has been poured. This is the most I can pour without a Presto pot or any type of commercial melter.

.....both Peaks. 100% soy, 1oz pp, 2 HTP104. Caramel Apple - Good hot/cold throw, strong lingering scent. Jam Me Crazy - Love the cold throw, had someone else test for me last night. Her son and husband loved the hot htrow but not the cold throw. Scent lingered throught the house as well.

Well tonight I burned a Van Hazelnut from a batch I made 1 week ago. Its really light compared to when I make a single candle. Im using less dye also, call me crazy but my darker candle burn better or should I say are stronger.

I need to buy a variety of dyes (each color) right now Im trying to make my own colors (orange = Red & Yellow). There are only 6 basic colors that I need, green, red, blue, brown, yellow & purple. This mixing does not work for me, besides I want to be consistent.

Does your throw deminish?

OK now there is a light scent of Vanilla Hazelnut (1 hour later). I lite the candle about 30seconds before I cooked some cabbage, so all I smell is cabbage.
