  1. I did soem for a baby shower once. Sprayed the lids with that sliver hammeral spray. You know, the stuff that looks like hammered metal when it dries. Works really well.
  2. I'm using the CD's right now but have some FO I'm having to wick up on now. Wondering if you find the ECO wicks of the same comparable size of the CD to burn hotter? TIA
  3. I'm using the CD's right now but have some FO I'm having to wick up on now. Wondering if you find the ECO wicks of the same comparable size of the CD to burn hotter? TIA
  4. That's what's happening to me! The first few lines will be fine and then the rest of the lines on the page will be off center. Wonder what's happening?
  5. I have not tried it yet but I think Lonestar carries it.
  6. May I how many oz. of FO per pound you are using of wax? I working on this. Use J223 and CD wicks. I think I have to go up at least 3 wick sizes than normal but I agree, what a throw! Just not getting the burn quite right just yet.
  7. Wow, didn't know that. When I calculate postage on the USPS site, it tells me 1 day for Priorty mail for my package and 2 days for Parcel Post. But that's not true huh?
  8. I was just reading a thread on how you can print a parcel post shipping label from Pay-pal. That would be great and save lots of money. Ok, here's 2 questions. One is, can I still use my free priority mail boxes when shipping parcel post and printing out a parcel post label. I know I've received things UPS where suppliers have used these free boxes but wondering if I can use Parcel Post printed at home shipping label with these boxes.? Two is, when I check for going on line and sceduling a carrier pick-up through the USPS site, it says you must have at least one priority mail or overnight package with your parcel post in order to schedule a pick-up. Is there a why of getting around this? Does the pay-pal site have where you can schedule a pick-up for parcel post? This would be so cool it I could make this work. Save my customers alot on shipping. Thanks!
  9. Just getting into wholesaling myself. Would love to hear it!
  10. Currently using CD's but hve been noticing ECO. I'm using J223. Thanks!
  11. Tahnks so much for the replies. Looks like I'll raise my prices. Any suggestions on how I should approach this? Maybe announce that are are going up in said time and that it's die to increase of wax prices and shipping costs? What do you suggest? Thank you so much for all the advice!
  12. I'm asking $11. My husband's co-workers that really like my candles, say I am asking to little and selling myself short. What do you think? Thank you for your input.
  13. Been thinking of doing this for a while now. I've noticed soem threads on it lately. My husband doesn't think they would generate much of a response. Those of you that do have them, have you found much of a response from them? I was thinking of putting name of my candles and web site. Thanks.
  14. Thanks for the replies everyone. I guess good to know I'm not alone. Will hang in there.
  15. This is my first year selling. Before christmas I was getting orders every day. Now just little ones here and there. Is this typical? If so, will it pick up at all soon? Everyone says they love my candles and are the best they've tried so I don' think tht's a problem. Just wondering if I'm not being aggressive enough with marketing. Thanks for the input.
  16. I just got 2 of these this week at Gander Mountain. Got them on sale for $49 each. Normally $99. Don't think it was supposed to be marked down that much but when my husband went in to get one there was a big one and a little one and a sign that said $49. My husband asked for which size and the manager said I am trying to get rid of these and so he said If it's for the big one I'll get 2 right away and she went for it. Can't wait to try them this week.
  17. The most recent shipment I received was right before Christmas. I have noticed no changes except for maybe a little whiter. Has only gone up $2. in price per case. I'm satisfied.
  18. I got samples of Ind. Teak, Maduro, Violet Musk, and some others. Love them OOB but have not getting a great throw in my J223. I'm not prepared to switch waxes at this time. Will continue to try with the sampes I have left as I really like them.
  19. I use a couple of WYW Fo and I know I can use half of theirs and still get a great throw. Would you say you can do the same with Candle cacoon. What % do most people use their FO at? Also, any recs? Thanks much!!
  20. I'm looking at this and the description. Is it a perfume or cologne type scent? Could someone that has burned this decribe more what it smells like please? Thank you.
  21. Thinking of getting one of these too. Do you pre-heat the Turknsurf before you add the melted wax the first time?
  22. Has anyone tried Lonestar's version in candles? Good scent throw? I have a sample but haven't poured it yet. I use J223. Hoping it throws well and I love the scent.
  23. I had the same problem. I made the mistake of ordering several pounds of certain JS scents during al the sales before christmas based on all ther raves. Now I'm stuck with ones that won't throw well for me. Sold some but not quite a few. Don't get me wrong. I love a couple of their scents and have added them to my line (chestnuts and brown sugar and car. holiday) and will gradually test more but will always tests samples first from now and assume it's a strong throw or what I consider a strong throw based on so many raves. I use J223.
