  1. Does anyone know where I can buy Pet spray base?

A couple weeks ago I baught a 16 oz sample of Pet Spritz Base from WSP......well I made some sample bottles and gave to some people to try out (a few dog groomers also) and they all loved it.

Sooo...when I went to buy a gallon of it from WSP they are OOS.........just my luck!!

I have searched all over for a supplier that carries it and can't find.

I just want the easy to use base......not really looking to make my own from scratch but was hoping someone here would know where else I could find the stuff.

I don't want to use the people base because I have no idea if it is pet safe and sure don't and won't go that route.

The groomers that tried out the samples said the doggies smelled great and the scent stayed on them for quite a while. I made a few different scents and was so bummed when I went to order a larger quanity it was not there.

Sorry for the ramble.......hoping for some help :) TIA

  2. This is the only honeysuckle I have ever tried- what would you recommend as a true one? I have read a lot that honeysuckle and magnolia are to find accurate and not being a floral person I wouldn't know the difference

Same here.....the only one I have tried and had great luck with last year. I tried it in MP soap last week and boy is it strong. Really sticks well. Didn't fade out like some other scents I have tried out in soap.

I don't much care for florals either but did try a sample of Rain Water and have to agree with NaturallyTru. It's a very pretty scent. I usually get a headache doing florals and dread having to pour them in wax but no headache at all with Rain Water.

2 of my testers that love florals really liked Sweet Pea and Gardenia.

  3. I'm really loving the Shea Butter MP base. I've tried C&S, Crafters Choice and BB's and have to say I'm really liking the C&S shea base the best. So smooth and creamy and lots of lather so I haven't even bothered to use the shower gel. Doesn't seem to need it.

I also got a 2 lb slab of the extra clear base from AH/RE(Stephensons) and really like that too. Scented it with CS Rain Water and it turned out great....super clear dyed with an aqua color.

I'm just playing around and getting to know these bases.....then going to move on to trying some of these great reciepes you have posted.

Thank you for taking the time to do all of this Candybee and everyone else that's posted all these recipes :)

I'm starting to feel this addiction and I'm starting to slack on my candles which I have to get back to for my spring/summer line or I'm gonna have some annoyed customers lol

  4. Thanks Candybee. Yes, I like lots of lather/bubbles. I have a few lbs of Crafters Choice Shea base and some extra clear sitting around. I also have a little bit of honey base from c&s. I'm a total newb when it comes to any kind of soap. I just play around with MP every now and then to give myself a break from candles and was checking out all these really nice recipes.

I have no luck with shower gel, gets real thin after using the FO so I was just wondering if it would be sort of the same as liquid soap in mp since I have that sitting around collecting dust. I baught it about a month ago and have no idea why lol

I'm going to try it out with a few oz base and see how it goes :)

  5. Yea...I may have the same problem. The only chocolate scent I have great luck with is KYs Hot Chocolate. I made lots of clear glass mugs with that scent(for Christmas) and topped it off with a whipped cream scent or KYs Toasted Marshmallow with great success.

Sweet Pea would probably be a good hit around here and I also got a few samples of CS Diane's Carnation that smells pretty good that I may try.

  6. What seems to stand out most to my nose is the spruce and the pine. It's a hard for me to describe type scent but more masculine than feminine. I don't care for it at all but I'm pretty sure there's quite a few of my customers that will like it.

Come to think of it....it kind of reminds me a little bit like the CS Blue Spruce....just a little bit...kind of lol I don't much care for that scent either.
