  1. Well that's a good idea, but I am sort of a perfectionist. The color isn't solid. It is still white in places and then pee yellow in other places. I was thinking that the yellow probably doesn't go too far beyond the surface of the jar, so if I melt them down and remix the wax the yellow would probably get much lighter and the color would be uniform at least then. And if I make some extra wax and mix with it, it would get even lighter still. Still deciding. It only affected seven candles. (well eight, but one sold before it turned on me)
  2. Silly question, but I left the UV additive out of my last vanilla candles, by accident, and they turned yellow on me. I was just going to melt it down and pitch it out and reuse the jars, but i wondered if I remelt the wax and added it to more wax with UV in it would it work or will it still be too yellow? Anyone with experience here? I've never had this happen in five years of candle making, believe it or not!
  3. You girls are all so funny. My ex-husband I would have so had to do that hiding it in the trunk stuff. My hubby now is great. He is giving me $2500 to help get my business to a new level. He is so supportive. Every time I buy a case of wax he asks why I didn't buy two. I just have to make sure to use my money wisely so that my business grows. Scary stuff when you start investing the big bucks and going into debt for your dream! Just gotta make it happen now. Success is the only option!
  4. I know...I know. It's just we haven't booked our vacation rental yet and I want to make sure that we will be back by then. I will sign up by Friday if there is space left. I want to go. I want vacation more. lol I will probably have to stay somewhere Friday night, but have to go home to my baby by Saturday night.
  5. Nevermind. I checked the website. It says 7 seats available. I better decide soon.
  6. Anyone know if there is still space available for this gathering? I have been thinking about coming.
  7. BCS Lemon Pound Cake is a great Lemon. Can't help with the coconut.
  8. Willowboo- I am in Western PA also and I have the same trouble. On hot days the candles burn easier and faster. My house is on the colder side in both summer and winter so I tend to wick a bit on the hot side for my candles. I don't use your wax or wicks though. My customers have never had any problems.
  9. I agree with this all as well. I was going to order from there, but two things held me back. The fact that I can't order some type of sample pack on FO and the fact that I can't see the shipping upfront. Both have me at a stand still right now. I ordered from Peak instead, where I got my samples and my shipping charges were upfront.
  10. I also got this fragrance as my sample from Peak and I love it. I have it in wax and it is to die for. I also bought a body product from Single Yellow Rose that is made with the fragrance! It is great. I love it and I think it will sell well. I don't soap, but I would buy it in soap or anything really.
  11. Levine gifts has warmers that are like Scentsy warmers/burners only they are plain colors...a little more simple looking. They even have the plug in warmers-the little night light style. I have been looking for someone who wants to go in on an order with me. I think the minimum is 2or 3 of each and $100 total order, but they are wholesale. Like $6-7 a warmer. Definately could make money reselling these ones. PM me if interested.
  12. I am following you Christy, and I can tell that there is a very long and bad history. I am not interested in any new suppliers personally, as I love the ones that I already use. I just feel that it got a little mean and detailed and maybe some of it should have been left for PM. JMO Everyone is entitled to their own.
  13. Thanks Ross and It's nice to meet you. My hubby and I both studied Marketing in college, but this is the stuff that they don't teach. I am going to try to get my feet wet with some of these ideas.
  14. As I stated previously, I think it is great to say that a supplier wasn't good in your opinion. That's all that needs to be said, though. A quick "I was not happy with those oils." or "the customer service sucks" is enough info for all of us. As far as the product speaking for itself, I said that it WILL as long as someone gives it a chance to. That's all I was saying.
  15. Sorry to say, if someone was bashing my company this way, I would have something to say also. Professional or not. You have to defend your product. The product will never be able to speak for itself, if nobody is willing to try it for themselves and just goes on negative feedback here. I feel that a short comment about the bad experience would have been sufficient, instead of a three page bash of a company. That's completely unprofessional and unnecessary on a board like this. We are here to help each other.
  16. :laugh2:lol! That is funny. I was confused when I first started out here too. I still don't understand all the abbr.
  17. Also I think I am definitely ordering some to try from Peaks! Any must haves from Peak or KY???
  18. Hey there SYR!!! Nice to hear from you. Well, there are a few I want to try. My list is growing. I was even thinking of going with 8 ouncers on the most popular ones...that way it is not a waste. I am having trouble deciding, but I think Midnight Pomegranate, Vanilla Butter Fudge, Birthday Cake, Homemade Apple Pie (I may try Peaks too), maybe Apple Jack and Pink Sugar Cookie. I have a list of about 15, but I'd like to start with just a couple so I don't get overwhelmed with testing. I'd love to go in on an order with you though. We could save on shipping. PM me if you want!
  19. Thanks. It makes it hard to try many oils when you have to buy them at $4 each. It has been holding me back from ordering, but I am sure I will break down one day. I may try Peaks since they have a sample pack.
  20. I was checking out the KY site and want to try some oils, but wondered if they offer a sampler. I didn't see one but thought I would ask. Maybe I missed something???
  21. I second the Pomegranate & Peach from Backwoods! I love it so much that I want to make myself a body spray with it. I don't do B&B but I may just have to.
  22. Carol-I don't think I can wait that long to add it. It's going right into my summer line and will stay there year round, if it sells. I love it. I am burning it again this morning.
  23. Oh, I am burning Grammy's Strawberry Jam right now. It is strong and yummy!
