Maybe you could just narrow down your product line so that you get the break you need, you cut your expenses, but you get to hang on to some of your customers and keep your hand in. Maybe just do tarts or maybe pick one or two jars and a few scents and simplify. Just a thought.

I usually will use the stickums while trying to narrow down the wick. Once I have it dialed in, my final test will be with the silicone.

I would color code them. Just use a highlighter to color the stick part of the Qtip and them write the name of the scent on paper using that same highlighter.

I have found that letting them sit overnight works, at least for testers.

I use C3 and jelly jars. I used to use LX wicks but switched to Ecos because I didn't like the mushrooms. But when I used LX, I usually tested with an LX 20 first and went from there up to an LX 24. I had one scent that I used an LX 26 with. I don't remember using anything lower than LX20. I use 1.5 FO pp. On 16 oz. mason jars, one higher than the jj usually worked.

I tried that one time and I ran into the very problem you are talking about. Drove me crazy. Since then I just use the same scents in all my containers. ONe thing I didn't try was to use the same scent named differently to match the more contemporary container.

Not all oils work in all wax combos. I now use C3 and some oils just do not throw as well as they did for me in my old paraffin blend.

I agree that soy has many good qualities. I'm not sure I agree with the "easier to work with" part. That hasn't been my experience anyway. I found paraffin to be much more consistent. After I switched to soy, I learned a lot of new swear words.

I use C3 and I have one really heavy oil that I use Eco 12 on in an 8 oz. jelly jar. I use 1.5 pp of fo. I haven't wicked that oil in a 16 ounce yet but it would probably use an Eco 14 if I did.
