  1. Well, I'm getting ready to place another order from Fillmore.

I have pretty much all their scents now....I love their stuff!

I use 464 and was wondering if anyone has some reviews on the following scents I have in my shopping cart.

    Berry Triffle

Avocado Cilantro (Seems like this might be really nice but light)

Lavender, Sage and Rosemary (my one account this right up her alley and sounds nice to me)

Sea Salt and Peony (I'm not a floral person but I see a lot of sea salt fragrances out there)

    Blueberry Muffin

Vanilla Mint (Now I got a sample of this and made a candle and it is really quite beautiful) so I'm ordering a pound of it.

Mayan gold (The name sounded nice...lol)

Pumpkin Spice Chutney (Sounds like me but I don't know what a chutney is)

Sweet Tobacco Vanilla (I'm having a hard time selling Tobacco Fragrance but this sounds nice with vanilla and a blend like Belinda makes with leather I bet this wold be nice)

Cocoa Therapy (It's been ages since I ordered this.   Guess I will try again)

    Thanks.

lol, for the longest time I could not see any difference between the 2.  I like the 1st one better, the border makes the label stand out more, in my opinion.

One of these days Suzanne, you are gonna have to do a workshop for us on how to land new wholesale accounts.  (I'd pay to get in on that) YOU ARE the MASTER!

lol Fran.......oh my gosh the way I go about getting accounts is not the normal and most everyone wouldn't do as I do. lol....  I'm actually a very timid person and wonder so many times how I just am so lucky that I can land accounts no problem.   It's really pretty easy and has always worked for me with much success...(I'm knocking on wood pretty heavily here when I say that...).....I'll put up a post for you a little later today or tomorrow as I'm rushing to get an order put in my truck to head to town to deliver.   I'm taking some pictures too which I'll put up of the Easter Candles I did....They came out so stinking cute with the old timey silver zinc lid you can't believe.   Fingers crossed she likes them as she doesn't even know that I did them for her!! lol.....Thats just one of the things I do also that is not the normal....showing up with a surprise.   But I'm confident enough I know she will love them....

  4. Ok, for a new account I have a presentation for I created a few more label designs...Don't mean to make it too confusing as I always seem to get carried away but anyway now I have a good amount of choices and they are so totally different from one another from elegant to a country style label.   Being that this is another apple orchard account from the one long standing account that I have that is an apple orchard, this is another one just like it.   The more fitting label for a shop like this is really the more country one (the one with the apple and check design around it #2), but really, it doesn't matter.   I'll determine which ones I'me going to make up into sample jars to sell.   I'm thinking I'm just going to finalize and make up 3 labels for them to look at or maybe I just might do them all! ha ha!   That's probably what I'll wind up doing knowing me.  But I always like to get critiques on what I usually do.

The jar will be the pint canning jar with a colored old timey lid.

    Thanks for your input.

#1 Choice:   I love love this label.......Everything about it....It's a bit elegant with country in it with the hanging canning jar lantern in the trees.   If I don't use this label for this account, I'll find use with another account that is for sure.   This would be my first choice as a label tied with #2 label as a possible choice.

    #2 Choice

I really like this label for an apple orchard - very country as it really leans towards a country store with a bakery, country gift shop, a shop that sells apple pies, apple turnovers and lots and lots of food merchandise like dips, sauces, apple cobblers, home made baked goodies, etc. and all of their products are in canning jars.   So this label I think would be a great choice.   And a lid in black, red or green would look great.

#3 - Another fitting country label.   With a black or red lid would be really cute.

#4 - Now I love this beautiful apple picture.   Its a bit country or a bit elegant....just lovely and I like.   A red or green lid would be pretty.

Maybe even the rust lid might work.

#5  This is the same label but I put it on a green background.   Something a little different which I love and the red or rust lid might look great.

  5. Am getting ready to do a presentation at a new store and have been working on some new label designs.

The jar will be the pint canning jar with the old timey lid either in a rust or black color.

Which label do you like best?

The reason the border is very large is because 1/2 of it will be trimmed off so the label fits the jar.

I think I like #1 for my choice.

    Thanks.....Trappeur

  6. Am placing my weekly order with Flaming and thought I would get some Lemon pound cake from them.   Has anyone ever ordered this from Flaming?   Was wondering how you liked it.   It would be going in my 464 wax.   I usually get it from Fragrance Buddy but thought I would give it a whirl and get some from Flaming.

    Thanks.

  7. Actually Terry I looked at them and though it is bright, they would work I believe.   They also have a green that would work too.   But now I am out of time as I have to deliver the candles by the weekend and have no lids in the green or yellow.   If I were to order them from Fillmore shipping is close to 20.00 and I'm not paying that amount for 2 dozen lids as light as they weigh.

So I'm thinking of going with the pewter or the silver zinc that I presently have or spray them a distressed white.   Here is a picture of the silver lids I have.   I think these would work just fine.

  8. I've made up for one of my accounts a small limited collection of candles like I usually do for the holidays and this being Easter, I did the labels as in picture which will be here any day.  I found the bunny rabbit artwork and then I added a green border around the bunny.  I chose 2 of her most best selling scents which are Island Pineapple (is really pineapple cilantro) and Lemon Verbena.  These are the 2 scents I'm doing the collection in.

I'm stuck on what type lid I should go with.

The jar I'm using is the pint canning jar.

I was thinking the silver/pewter old timey lids or should I spray the lids a distressed white?   Could use some suggestions?

I hope she likes the label cause it's always a surprise of what I come up with as she doesn't know what I'm doing till I deliver....lol...but I thought these would be so cute for Easter.

    Thanks for looking.

If I only poured stuff I like I would have a very limited collection of fragrances!  It’s not that they don’t smell good to me, it’s just I wouldn’t burn them myself over spa type fragrances.

Reminds me of @aptommo‘s situation with the peppermint bark. People liked the smell but didn’t purchase it.

Everyone is pretty much suggesting the same type of fragrances: lemon, blueberry, cinnamon, vanilla, pumpkin, caramel. That’s pretty much what I was thinking, so it’s good to know I’m on the right track with what’s popular.

@Belinda I see you get some oils from Lonestar. I have their blueberry cobbler which I think is fantastic.  I see your blueberry choice is the cheesecake from CS. Have you tried LS blueberry cobbler?

I love blueberry and especially blueberry cobbler or cheesecake but I don't make to sell because even though I use a uv inhibitor, blueberry always turns yellow.    So I just make for myself.

  10. Yes, definitely get "Vanilla Champagne"!   You can smell the bubbles, really!   Now how do they get that....that is unbelievable.

Another nice one from them is OMG Olive....I have a store that gets that and it is really nice...soft but holds its own.

    Hmmm. 2018. Hands down winner:

    1. Cranberry marmalade (CS).

    2. (with a bullet heading for 1) Fresh Coffee (Cs)

Everything else is practically a tie - Red Current, Pumpkin Souffle, Toasted Pumpkin, Kelp (BA), Peppermint with anything, White Birch (CS), Leather (AAA), Lemon Pound Cake, Apple anything, Mulled Cider, Lavender, Tobacco (BA)

I’m testing out new Lemons (iced lemon biscotti from recommendations here I think will be outstanding!). Also, looking for a new rain/water/ocean scent - (that doesn’t smell like laundry detergent) and looking at Lavender and lavender blends....

Currently needing a “baby” scent — am looking at different baby powders but worried about the powdery smell not having good HT in soy...

Do a search on here Candle Nook as there was one where people were raving about I think it was called "The childrens room".   Can't remember where it came from, but people were loving it.

  12. Gosh BF I have the Strawberries & C from Flaming but wasn't impressed with it so it's been sitting in my cabinet.   I'm so spoiled by Vanilla Champagne from NG where you can smell the bubbles and I couldn't smell any bubbles on the scent from Flaming.   I guess I will be making that candle today and see for myself.

And I have been wanting forever to get a good molasses.   So Aztecs is pretty good?   Well I never order from them so I'll have to go and select some oils from them.

    Glad you posted this.
