  1. Does everyone that sells candles have to have their company registered with their respective state? I thought that a person could not sell candles unless they were registered, but I found out differently yesterday when I saw someone selling their candles so I went online to my state Corporation database and their name is no where to be found. Hum..... Just wondering what the legal aspect of this is.
  2. This is an awesome FO for Christmas but I cant seem to think what the best color would be for votives and containers. Any suggestions out there? :undecided
  3. Linn, I dont clean mine either. I have never had a problem. There isnt anything left after I take out of mold and have not noticed any problem with transfer either.
  4. Can anyone tell me if they have seen any cute inexpensive Christmas containers anywhere? I looked at Big Lots but none there. I want to start making Christmas gifts so my candles can cure for 2 months but I sure am not having much luck finding any containers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!:smiley2:
  5. Thanks for all the help. It just looked strange to me to see it burning and leaving the sides. Before I started making candles, I never really paid any attention to how a votive burned and now that I am making them...well... that is a whole different ballgame. I am checking the burn every 10 minutes and sniffing to see how the scent throw is! I want to make the perfect one for Christmas presents because I know that if I give them out, then I will have future customers if the throw is great and it burned evenly.
  6. I put in a votive holder---not tight fitting, about 1/2 inch larger all the way around. This is the first time that the 44z wick has not mushroomed. Instead it is curling up as it burns. Nice for a change!
  7. I am new at making votives. I am using 4794 wax with 44z wick. In testing my votive, I find it burning down , leaving the sides up. Then, finally, the sides of the votive finally melt and even out. Is this how a votive is suppose to burn down, or am I doing something wrong. I am making alot of votives for Christmas presents but I dont want to give out a votive that is not burning down correctly either. HELP!
  8. Thanks Jeannie for the great info! I am trying it tomorrow!
  9. Then if I could possibly use the 4786 for votives, can you tell me about the burn time and if the 4786 was too soft for votives for some, for all of you where it did work, did the votive burn evenly? Thanks so much.
  10. Thanks so much for the input. I guess that settles that! I will be making alot of containers with 4786! I like the wax, but you know how that is.....wanted to try one of these new blends---------just in case there is something out there that is better!
  11. Can anyone tell me if you can make votives out of 4786 wax? I am out of votive wax and I have a whole case of 4786 left. I am switching waxes for containers and I wanted to use up this wax. Thought I better ask before I start making votives out of it and wasting both wax and FO's! Thanks!
  12. Oh Oh---not another company:embarasse . I am looking for the perfect Christmas "blow me away" scent. Any suggestions out there?
  13. Ok, please help me out----what does NG stand for?
  14. OMG! This IS horrible! I have soooo many bottles of FO at home and now I find myself making an order to Just Scents! Does FO ever go bad? I have had some in unopened bottles for almost a year now.
  15. If it were me, I would double wick probably using the 51z. Ofcourse, testing is the key here but I have found success in using 2 wicks with a 3"diameter. Hope this helps.
  16. You can get it at Walmarts in the paint section for around $15.00. Works great!
  17. Would love to go whenever it is re-scheduled. Cant wait!
