sounds like a very nice soap. Ive never had my soap turn green from coffee grounds. I just made a coffee soap the other day, i used caramel chocolate truffle, it turned the soap a nice light tan color but not green.
It could just be the type of bean. If you want moisture try adding some butters, like shea, mango, olive, cocoa.

it really depends on the soap
if i make shapes i usually just plastic wrap them, saran wrap with a nice bow
sometimes i put them in bags with a cute hanging tag
if theyre just for the family i wrap then in saran wrap and keep them in a basket in the closet for the family to grab when they need
if theyre small guest size bars i wrap in saran, then put 3 or 4 together and tie off with a ribbon and tag with fragrance names

if you can get into the admin part and or the cpanel you can make a backup of the entire database, and then ftp it to your comp and save all the files
its usually recommended that you do backups of the database, incase of server crash, so if he was doing backups he should have saved files which he shouldve forwarded to you regardless since its your info

start printing that list of additives you have alot of soap to make!!!

i love that car soap, theyre all great!!
-
yogurt powder- 1 or 2T to a lb ...it likes to clump up so i sift it over my cut up base then melt and stir alot
strawberry seeds..just a small amount goes a long way
vanilla bean seeds- gets expensive though

basically its a bath bomb recipe...same ingredients
baking soda
citric acid
essential oils or fragrance oils
the only thing that lush adds is dipropylene glycol which is basically a carrier for fragrances, if you go to snowdrift farms they sell this in a fragrance grade for use in cosmetics and bath n body
to me it just sounds like an over fragranced bath bomb that you put on the shower floor

those are soo cute!!

i sometimes poke holes through the skin formed on the top of the layer with a toothpick or a fork and push down gently to get some soap to come up then spray with alcohol to make sure my layers really stick together
-
i heated some base colored it the same as the soap curls and let it cool down, then put the curls into the base and gently stirred them around to coat them with the base...spooned them ontop of the cupcake bottoms
for your bottoms let them get a nice skin then i poked holes all around the edges and in the middle...pressed down gently so some soap would come out of the holes spray with alcohol and then spoon on your curls...gotta work kinda quick because mp likes to harden up fast
-
you can always try adding things to the soap base at first, like different butters and oils to get the right kind of feel you want from your soap
then you can try embeds, soap curls, layering, you will be surprised at what you come up with just by playing with simple methods

ty very much

I was just reading this post thinking like who is this saying they'd look better if the curls were smaller....kinda pissed me off a little bit too! Then I looked at the name and its you! LEAVE YOUR WORK ALONE DARNIT....they look great!
i was just sayin..... it was my first try, my son already took that one to the bath with him LOL
-
from my first try i think it works great if you all you get is rubber soap when you whip that mp LOL
just gotta keep trying and make those soap curls smaller and a bit more tight...so far so good, if you want sprinkles on the top you could use jojoba beads while the spooned on curls are still wet
just something to try if you have extra pieces of mp laying around
-
when i make them with the meringue powder top i usually put it on right after i pack them down, it helps with keeping the tops on the bomb, and i usually let them sit 2 days before i touch them, but sometimes the tops still pop off no matter what you do
-
i think with smaller curls it will look better more like swirly frosting

experimenting with making toppings for cupcake soaps, these are mp curls piled ontop of the cake base

bramble berry has very nice bases, the shipping is reasonable.
If you only order small amounts then i would definitely go with them.
