when i added rosemary i ground it up a bit and it just left flecks throughout my M&P
you could always do a layered with the mint, like i do, i do a vanilla bottom, mint in the middle with mint leaves and a touch of green color and vanilla on the top, its very eye catching
-
yes i made it, each petal is folded individually then attached...its modular origami, because you do use glue or string to put them together
if you make a globe you are supposted to put a bag of dried herbs and flowers in it for luck

This is a Japanese Kusudama Paper Flower Ball (well this one isnt really a ball)
Its made out of Post It Notes, I still need to attach the ribbon it will hang from
This is what it looks like from the side
I hope you enjoyed looking

velveeta cheese boxes....theyre great for sample size little logs
-
white tea is one of my favs right now, white tea and berries i cant get enough of that one
juniper breeze is light (to me) i love it, very refreshing
-
loofa....sliced or ground makes a nice scrubby soap
dried orange and lemon peel (if you have a dehydrator, dry them then crush them in a food processor to get a fine powder or a bit more grainy for a nice scrub soap also)
dried mint, peppermint, green tea, chocolate mint, lemon balm, crushed dried rosemary smells lovely, vanilla bean seeds (that was alittle expensive but wow it was a nice soap)
nutmeg, if you can find the whole nutmeg and grate it that was fabulous and hazelnut also, just make sure people with nut allergies dont buy or use that particular soap

Okay, I have got to ask. How do you keep the polymer clay from picking up your finger prints. I was thing about trying latex gloves but hadn't had a chance.
some people use latex gloves ..it works but man do your hands start sweating after awhile
you can always sand your pieces with fine grade sand paper after they are baked or dust your finger tips with baby powder or cornstarch, even wetting your fingers with water helps
-
dryer sheets...i toss those into my sons smelly gym bag all the time (i even put extra room spray that i make onto them)
if you want to use your own fragrance you could toss a few into the washer and wash out the scent then add your own

maybe something like she did..looks like the same thing you want to do
i hope it helps

definitely try polymer clay, there are different varieties if you dont want to bake it, there is air dry, etc. and you can mix colors which is fairly simple
-
awesome bead work, i love it!!!
maybe try 2 shades of color on the bottom like 2 light shades of yellow for vanilla, 2 darker shades of brown for chocolate, etc...
cherry or strawberry on top would be adorable or even how they have those cupcake toppers like butterflies and such

i like to use silicone molds for my melts...so i found one that was pretty good in size, made my melt recipe, filled the bottoms set them in the freezer until they were hard
made my bath bomb mix and packed it and then just covered them with a towel and let them sit for an hour
popped them into the frig to make sure the melt was solid and then popped em out
they are solid and stuck together pretty darn good

I havent posted pics of anything in a while but here are a few things Ive made lately
Lavender & Vanilla Melt and Fizzy Bomb
(the top is a melt attached to a bath bomb)
Lavender & Vanilla CP soap

it should eventually dry out, it might not fizz like you want, if it does dry out add alittle more citric and baking soda, you can still use it as bath fizzy powder if you dont want to toss it out

ive never tried to put any type of metal in my "treasure soaps" i would think if someone used the soap and they rubbed it on their body a little metal trinket might cut or scratch them..not to mention the reaction in the soap itself
you could try experimenting first, to see if the soap reacts with the metal first, it might discolor, etc...
ive always chosen plastic or glass to embed into my MP

i went to the dollar store and bought 6 1c measuring cups (the plastic ones) my loofah slices fit nicely into them, and once ready you can just push on the bottom and out they pop
-
i like glitter as long as its cosmetic grade and very fine
if you want to add stuff to your bombs package them in little sachet bags that can be tossed in with the bomb that way they catch anything you dont want floating in your tub LOL
-
too cute, ive been looking for that mold!!
my kids love the popsicle soaps that i make, i wanted to try different shapes, i guess i better haul myself to the dollar store LOL
-
no glass is definitely a rule around our pool
as far as not looking at candles at the pool store, if its in a store im lookin, no matter what kind of store im in
i love the theme idea, for instance next month is my dd's birthday, she wants the luau, how cute would it be to have flip flop inspired candles set all around!!
we love floating candles in the pool at night after everyone is done trying to drown each other, just sitting in the lounges with beautiful candle light dancing on the pool
good luck with your venture and much success

i shrink wrap mine, ive had some that are at least 5 mth old and havent shrunk or discolored
if youre selling them as fast as youre making them, shrink wrapping is fine and soap boxes are also cute, i rubber stamp my soap boxes so they dont look so plain and put a label on them
-
i really love that, although you cant see the soap i love the paper its pretty and unique

maybe after you carve your pumpkins for halloween save some seeds, dry them out and crush them
you could use a nice pumpkin fragrance and add the crushed or powdered pumpkin seeds
