  1. I usually get my orders really fast from them. Normally if I order on monday its here by thursday. The order was all fragrance oil so I guess maybe that might take longer than just getting C3. I order from them alot, this won't make me stop. I was hopeing it would be the normal fast ship time. Forgot they had the wick sale. Has anyone tried the Mango Peach Salsa fo from them. I have 3 # coming. It will be my scent of the month for July. That's a Yankee fragrance that hasn't been around for awhile.
  2. I tried a 92 degree coconut oil that I had, it was in solid form. I used 1 tsp to 1 # C3. Smoothed the tops out, gave nice glass adhesion. My USA just came today so tomorrow I will and some to my C3 and see what it does. I'm gonna try it with and without coconut oil.
  3. I get some oils from BC and they all throw in the wax I use. I use to use EzSoy ages ago and that seems to be a soy that needs the 2 week cure time. At least thats what I found. I'm sure you could mix that wax at 50/50 70/30 pour a test candle with a couple different ratios and see what you like best and whick cure quicker. I alway use a sharpie marker and put the wick size, blend of wax, fragrance and date poured on the bottom of test jar. Marker comes off with a little dawn so you can resuse the jar. Hope this helps some.
  4. Anyone order fragrance from Candlewic lately and notice how slow they have gotten. I ordered fragrance oil on monday and just called to see when I could expect my order (thought it would be here by now) She said fedex is scheduled to pick it up tomorrow. 6 days in house and this isn't even the busy season. I want to order some fragrance from JBN. Anyone get from them and do the majority throw good in soy?
  5. I use pillar wax for mine. I line the cupcake tin with cup cake papers and pour into them. Honestly I have burned hundreds right in the cup cake papers. Have not had one paper burn . The papers are made to withstand oven temps ..sooooo. Give it a try and see what you think. I have sold many of these and this is the way my customers burn them also.
  6. I am looking for the glass air freshener bottle system to use in your car. The ones like renuzit has that sits down in a plastic clip and hooks onto the vent in cars. I refilled a renuzit one for a guys that works with my husband and he said it was much stonger than the one bought at the store. (could have told him it would be) The guys where he works want to get these from me. You can't sell what you don't have ... SOOOOOO ... has anyone come across a supplier for these little bottles. I have searched and searched and searched some more and have come up empty handed. Any help in locating these would be appreciated.
  7. TraciS . . Yes, thats what I was looking for. I also used the Ezsoy for awhile, hated the frosting so mixed it with paraffin. Did ok that way. I tried the CB135 Adv and also hated it. I have almost the whole 10# bag here, doubt that I'll ever use it. There was no cold throw with it and very little hot. I use the Nature Wax C3 now. I used to mix it with J223, but am now switching to all soy. I really like the C3 since I learned to temper the wax and I also add a tsp coconut oil per #. The one thing I found that really maked the biggest difference is putting them is a warm oven to cool (oven shut off of course). I am getting a new refridgerator soon and am taking the old one down to my shop, I can fit alot of candles in there to cool. Thanks to everyone for all the informative posts on this board.
  8. [quote=TraciS;672570 I changed wax just this year and tried 4 before I found the one I use now. TraciS . . What waxes have you tried? What were the pros and cons of them? What wax did you settle on and why. It's always nice to hear other peoples results on wax. When you lump all the results together, if there are to many cons, you can decide if you really want to test it or not.
  9. Stella1952 thanks for all the info. I have done alot of reading and have tried tempering the wax, it does seem to make a difference. Also I have added some cocnut oil to the C3 and that really seems to have a differnce. Would it be a good idea to use coconut oil and USA or just to choose one. I haven't tried the USA yet.
  10. I am in the process of switching my wax over to all C3 (no paraffin mixed in) and Stella recommended coconut oil & USA to even the wax out. I tried one rounded tsp of coconut oil (solid form) to a lb of C3, and cooled in warm oven. What a difference that makes.Would it be wise to also add the USA along with the coconut oil? I also remember she said if it doesn't throw after 2 days she moves on. I poured a mango & papaya and let it set 2 days instead of weeks. All I can say is WOW. I just adopted Stellas 2 day theary. Thanks Stella
  11. No, just that the price would increase. I think I might get a few cases before the price increase.
  12. If you are going to be able to order straight from nature wax how is that done? When I search Nature Wax it just brings up the info sheets. Does anyone have the info on ordering direct from Nature Wax or do you order from the www.elevance.com ? I usually buy mine from Candlewic. Just got my invoice in the mail from them today and there was a letter enclosed that the price will be going up. Would love info if anyone has it.
  13. I use a Espon Inkjet C88+. It is the cheapest printer that espon has but it makes fantastic labels. The ink is called Dura Brite Ultra. The printer uses 4 cartridges. (black, yellow, magenta, cyan) The ink isn't expensive. The main reason I love this printer is I can put a candle jar through my dishwasher and the label will come out looking like it was just printed and put on the jar. So for me it's EPSON
  14. Read a few other post and found out that USA is universal soy additive. I'll do a google search for it and see if I can find a close supplier. By tempering do you mean your cooling process or pouring temp. What do you fill is the best temp to pour C3. I tend to pour hottter because of the J223 I mix with it.
  15. Question for Stella1952 . Since I have always mixed J223 with C3, and am now going all C3, I have a few questions for you. Sounds like you've been using C3 a long time. You said the most important thing is tempering the wax before you pour it .. Don't want to sound dumb but what do you mean? Also you said you add USA from JBN, is that like a universal additive, I assum the JBN is a supplier. Enlighten me a little. I want my transition to C3 to go smooth, I dont want to start to mix it again. Naturally I will have to keep my formula that I use now and change over one fragrance at a time, as I test each and every fragrance that I carry in my store. Any and all help is always appreciated. Also is there a difference between CD and CDN wicks?
  16. I use a Premier 755 in my 3" pillars and they work good.
  17. With the C3 you have to add you fragrance at a higher temp and then pour at about 165 - 170. I heat mine to about 195 and till i add my FO and dyes and stir it seems to be the perfect temp to pour at, I think if you aren't getting any throw with the C3 you need to change you fragrance supplier. I get most of mine from Natures Garden in Ohio and some from Candlewic. Both places are great for fragrance. I never have a problem getting throw.
  18. Yes there is. I also use the premier series wicks. What wax do you use them in.
  19. I get mine from Candlewic. Yes, the wax is very moist feeling. I still have a small amount of the last box of C 3 and there is a differance. The old box is dry feeling and you can't really crumb it up in you hands. The new boxes are smaller white flakes (not off white) and when you crumb them in your hands they allmost have a slight greasy feel to them. I really started to think that the boxes were mislabeled. I called Cargill today to see what they did different to the wax, I spoke to Larry, and he assures me that there has been no change at all to the wax. Maybe there is something he doesnt know, it is different. He also said the new P2 & P3 waxes should be out in about 6 weeks. What wick to you use in your C3? I have been using the Premier Series wicks with good results. There are a few fragrances the I use Cd's in.
  20. Has anyone that uses this wax noticed a difference in it lately. I mean that in a good way. I just received some wax the other day and when I opened it I was surprised to see that the wax was pure white and not a creamy color. The whole consistancy was different when you put your hand in and crushed it. I have been mixing C 3 with J223 for a long time because of the frosting and the cottage cheese tops. Welllll I poured so some with all C3 and all I can say is I'm in Love. The candles are buring so clean and scent if fantastic after only 1 day. Whatever they did to it I hope the don't change it back. No more blending waxes for me, it all C3 now.
  21. I have tried the Cd, Eco & P700 series and all work good.
  22. Candlewic's price for C3 is up to $63.00 now. Don't think the prices are going to stop going up for awhile. Hope we can all still afford to buy it.
  23. I've been thing of getting a turkey fryer..How much wax does it hold and how long does it take to melt it. If you shut it off with wax still in it does it remelt it ok? Lots of questions before I invest in one. What is the average price of one, about $150.00.
  24. Has anyone used the "Soy Wax Modifier" and does it really work. I am trying to use my soy with no other waxes mixed, but I really hate the frosting and the way the top looks like cottage cheese at times. I generally use Nature C3 at 75% and 25% J223. J223 has taken such a jump in price that I have decided to go straight C3. I poured a few testers yesterday and to each # of C3 I added 2 Tbsp of soy pillar wax. This morning I have nice smooth tops and pretty good glass adhesion. I noticed just a few snowflake looking spots. I'm hopeing they wont spread. I noticed that there are alot of C3 users on this board, so that was a good reason for me to join it. Any imput is always appreciated.
