  1. I had the same exact problem with the 16 oz Apothecary jars. I tried every wick out there. I even tried to change my formula. It was mostly soy at the time and I thought by adding more paraffin wax it would be easier to burn. I tried 1 oz of FO and 1.5 oz of FO. I finally tried Performa wicks and they work perfectly. They burn consistantly all the way to the bottom without being a torch on the top and I am using all soy in them. Don't give up.....it CAN be done. P.S. I only use 1 oz of FO in them. HTH
  2. Beautiful job on the soaps. I really love the Oatmeal and the Sweet Honey. Good luck on the swirls.
  3. Your candles look great and I like the color you chose. Happy testing.
  4. The GW 464 is an excellent wax to mix with 223. I mix the 2 myself with the majority being the soy. It makes a really pretty candle. HTH
  5. Those soaps are really beautiful. Love them.
  6. They all look so wonderful. No wonder they sell great for you. Great job
  7. I have been working with this wax for a few years now and to me me the HTP wicks work the best in this wax. I tried Eco wicks and did not get any hot throw using them. HTH
  8. Thanks so much for the welcome and reply. I really hope it is candle nose. I am taking a break for a few weeks and then I will test again. Hopefully I will be able to smell them. Other people tell me my candles smell great, but it is hard for me to sell something that I don't think is good.
  9. Just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone here. I am new to this board but I have been making candles for about 2 years now. I have been using the 464 wax and was always happy with it untill recently. I use anywhere from 1.1 to 1.4 oz pp of FO depending on the oil. My problem is...I have candles that are a couple of months old and I can not smell them. I know when I tested they were good and smelled strong, but now they are not as stong as they seemed to be when I tested. It very well could be that I have candle nose, but I thought candles were supposed to get stronger so I thought that a candle that was a couple of months old would be really strong. I have tried several times testing a candle with 1 oz pp and I could hardly smell anything. Do you think I am using too much oil?
