  1. I've made enough batches of soap now that I'm ready to try some color! I really like the micas and I know some seem to use a solid colorant as well. Can someone steer me towards what might be good to try? Maybe something with sampler packs or some such? thanks! dana
  2. Ditto to what everyone else has said. Just beautiful! dana
  3. Yep, that is what stopped me from buying the sale scents too dana
  4. I need to get jojoba, and I have no liquid soap I am anxious to make it though dana
  5. As a new soaper I am very pleased to read this.. ...I've become mindboggled and paralyzed by all the different oils and butters and additives, oh my! Thanks for sharing! dana
  6. I think it looks great! I just did my first lard soap today.........not sure what to think of the experience! :rolleyes2 I'd be pleased if mine looked half as good as yours! dana
  7. Beautiful! Perfect for this scent. And you are right about cp soap....whooot it is STRONG! Great candles! I have not put it in wax yet. Your colors are perfect also! dana
  8. Well at least I know with some waxes/wicks it can be done I will test a few more before I resort to double wicking! Thanks to all to replied! :highfive: dana
  9. Thanks Renee for your input! Glad to hear the single wick is working out for you! dana
  10. Yeah, I know testing is what it is all about. I am, and have been testing. That is all I do, test test test. I didn't post my wax, fo, etc. because was not asking for someone to tell me what wick to use. I was just asking if anyone had accomplished this, in any wax. For example, I am having more success single wicking this jar in my GG than in my 4627. (Not successful, to my satisfaction, but moreso). This is a bigger diameter jar than I am used to using. I don't want to continue wasting my time trying to single wick if most people who use this type of jar find it needs double wicking in most applications. Sorry I was not more clear.....and thank you for your input. dana :embarasse
  11. Can it be successfully single wicked? Or do most of you double wick this jar? Thank you! dana
  12. Yep I love CS and I knew they would make it right (I ordered a bunch of samples, have not weighed them yet but I am going to in the am!) They are my favorite supplier! Now if they only carried b&b products I'd be thrilled....and also 6" sizes of the smaller wicks that I always need but they only have in 3" lol! Awesome, thanks for the update! dana
  13. Have you contacted Candle Science about the shortages? I'm curious as to what they say. dana
  14. Thanks for the recipe...I was just logging on here to see if I could try to find a gentle, non-oily scrub recipe for my face ! I wondered though because you are using volume measurements and not weight....?? dana
  15. Nothing I can add to whatever has been said! I love them! dana
  16. I've not yet made a pillar (still struggling with containers) ... but if I do, I want to try palm for sure. These are stunning. Thank you for sharing (and yes, enabling!) dana

  19. Ditto to what everyone else has said......wow, I'm in awe. Too pretty to use. Just gorgeous. dana
  20. I haven't tried colors yet. My soaps are beyond ugly . I'm afraid to "waste" the color until I find some recipes I like.......so many sitting and curing...HURRY UP darnit! lol Pics you must post pics! dana
  21. Yeah, I think I'll try DayStar's first. It mentions the BBW scent in the description. Now if I can only find a good dupe of Philosophy's Pure Grace I'll be all set! (tried FBD, not very good...someone else has one tho, need to do a search!) Thanks all, will let you know how it works out! dana
  22. I will definitely get samples of these to compare! Thank you! dana
  23. I've yet to make lotion bars OR lip balms....:embarasse but I am saving this post in my "tips".....thanks for the pointer, I appreciate it! dana
