Okay thats what I thought i heard about lard, that people buy it at the grocery store,But I cant find it at ours..It makes me wonder why they wouldnt at least sell me lard.. They deal straight with the farmers and I was so happy when she said they had them both.. So close but yet so far!!LOL

Hey Bunny those look great!!the only food ive ever soaped is a Lime and that turned out great.. The carrot cake one does so wonderful infact let me know when they are ready ill buy one (i love food soaps!!LOL)

Okay so maybe Heather (slowburn) is not the only one not listening if this has already been talked about!!LOL Yesterday I go to a farmers market and ask them if they had any lard or tallow and they said yes Lot's but we cant sell or give it to you. So i nicely asked why and she about bit my head off and said becasue IT"S AGAINST THE LAW!!!! Everyone standing inline looked at me like I was a drug seller or something, So I decided then was the time to mention i was just wanting to use it for soaping. She looked at me again like I was an alien or something and said "yeah, really,sorry it still is illegal". needeless to say i snuck out quitley and was dumbfounded!!LOL What do people smoke this stuff or is it dangerous!My word..

So here is my question.. Ive been wanting to try tallow and lard and was shocked when they said it was illegal to sell or give away tallow or lard. !!?? Why is this illegal and if it is ..how are you al getting yours ? I couldnt beleive it, but then again I never read it on here or "just wasnt listening"HA:wink2:

The only orange smell I got without fuel is southern scentsations orange chiffon..Its a top seller for me, its a deeper orange smell other than bright and tangy if you know what I mean:)

I think they are wonderful and they look really great!

Thanks guys, I actually made it becuase the scent of rootbeer is so luring to me!!LOL I love the rootbeer freezes from A&W stand. I think my next soaping is going to be kiwi strawberry from Southern scentsations..If anyones soaped this I would love to hear your comments!

Hey guys..It's been a couple of months since I last soaped, because of a new baby and a move. Anway here is me getting back into the swing of things I made these for my kids. its scented with rootbeer and vanilla and is made with goatsmilk and colored with cocoa, I am sure the brown will be darker in a day or to, but it smells divine!! Although I used a different mold becuase this was just for us and a smaller batch, it looks really uneven int he pics.My 6yr old came in asking for Root beer !LOL Anyways nothing major, but Im back!!

Wow, it looks ggreat, I have made MANY,MANY batches of soap and have nver gotten such a vibrant blue, so Id say youve broken the spell!LOL

thats my question too, the first time I tried the colorants they did that, but only becuase I had not mixed them with a small amount of oils from the pot. It makes all the differnce! Dont give up girl cause you will get that BEAUUUTTTIFULLL soap!!

I was wanting to amke a 3 layer bar for christmas, using SFS homesweet home, but Added some kaolin Clay and it traced super fast so I got this funky look!!LOL Oh well I like crazy looking stuff sometimes.. this is a coconut,palm, palm kernal, shea butter, avacado and soybean oils recipe with kaolin Clay added at trace. thanks for letting me share my crazy christmas batch (maybe this is how I feel at christmas..HA!this has not been cleaned up yet:)

Okay had a chance to try the Lavender vanilla from luverpup.. it was a nice creammy color bar with some purple on top..Its a nice hard bar, not really bubbly lathery but a creamy lotion like lather that went on nice and was moisturizing. had a nice lavender smell. nice bar thanks!

Got mine yesterday, I havent had time to use it, but will in a little buit and will up date:)
