1. I have been playing with the votives with a soypara blend.. i just cannot get over how simple these are to make..and how well they put out a hot throw... easy and fast to make if you have enough votive cups and wick pins... I have been playing with just one cup and one wick pin.. and have made about 8 different ones now.. still it is new to me .. but it sure is working out great... Cathy
2. this Jar is 4.5 inches tall not wide... if you take a measureing tape across the bottom from corner to corner it is 3.5 inches x wise and 2 3/4 inch +wise . do you see what I am saying from corner to corner if your measuring an x and across both ways if your doing the +.. this is weird for me because the 12oz hex I also do are 3.5 inches from point to point and this jar is 4 inches tall with the same size mouth on it..difference is I have 6 corners on that one.. and it works great with a 62c.... I hope this helps you out better .. and thank you so much for helping.. Cathy
3. try putting your cooled wax in the freezer to pop them out of your molds about 10 minutes and they should pop right out... with the blend if you leave them in to long they will crack... I perfer the metal molds myself over the foil ones they just seem so much nicer looking in apperence to me.. but that is my personal choice.. I package my tarts 6 to a pack and sell them for 5 bucks .. it is a special that I carry all the time.. it is like they are getting one free in bulk...marketing method.. Hth you out... Cathy
4. Thanks Scott if this helps at all.. the jar is 4 1/2 inches high the opening is a 70 tw which is 2 1/2 inches wide... then as you can see in the pic it is kinda square... the bottom measures from corner to corner 3 1/2 from x to x.. I am using 100% soy.. 1.5 load of fo per pound and one dye chip per pound of wax.. hope this helps you out a bit.. so maybe you can help me... thanks so much for your response.. Cathy
5. From time to time I will find an fo that will seep also.. Do like Kerry says.. cut back a titch on that particular fo.. You will run across some fo's that will not hold 1.5 ounces in soy and others is just fine...Great to hear that you are getting your candles .. sounds to me perfected... Cathy
6. 60-44-18c 62-52-18c these I do not think are the same as peaks carry(correct me if I am wrong) and they will do up to 4 inches in soy.. I use these in a true 12 ounce hex jars .. these are the only ones I can find to clear that particular jar.. the 62-52-18c Which you got all those corners to contend with.. now I am working with the 12 ounce victorian.. which is kinda square, and now I am testing with the 1312 htp.. which is finally giving me a full melt pool.. but not done testing them quite yet..and I am guessing the square masons are about as wide as these jars... If you need to know where you can get these wicks.. you can pm me... I would start with a sample pack ..and try the 60-44-18c first then go with the 62-52-18c also an lx 28 or 30 might do it too... hth out some and wish you great success! Cathy
7. No extra charge I just read that on that site.. that is fantastic Idea they came up with.. thanks for sharing more information on this..I am so excited over this you would think I owned one already.. with me having to wear reading glasses to see anymore it does become a strain on your eyes to wick by hand properly.. and so many wicks I have had to pull and rewick to get them centered... once again Cathy
8. I have not seen them yet .. my jars are a bit bigger then that.. and for 20 bucks this one fits a lot of different size jars.. thanks for sharing I will also go there and look.. have a great weekend;) Cathy
9. this was shared with me today from Marsha from a different board.. this gadget wicks your jar perfectly centered.. not only one wick it does 2 and 3 wicks perfectly spaced and center... I have never seen this before and am so amazed.. I had to share... http://www.stephscents.com/default.asp?SID=xMM3WD7QB3MPVJHF736S56&S=E3&Document=EZ+Wick+Setter&NID=2232277 I hope this helps everyone one out that has had a hard time making sure your wick was centered..I have just recieved this page and I am so amazed what i see . that it is now a must for me.. Cathy
10. any one using this jar with soy.. I am having a very diffacult time wicking these.. if any can help out, who have mastered this jars.. please help me out with the wicking.. not having any luck with a htp1213 or lx 30 or 62c.. any other sugesstions.. TIA
11. I have not used it in a glass container yet but do have a few tins lit now that I wanted to play with and so far so good..I do not think that it will get to hot for a glass jar either..(candle jar).. you will have to try to pour and do testing on it ...if this is what you want to try.. and of course getting your wick right etc.. I would not be afraid of soy.. it is a nice wax to work with.. the hardest part to soy is like every other type of candle out there the frustration of the testing.. ..just jump in ..you will be amazed.. Cathy
12. I just poured Clamshells yesterday with a new soy piller blend that i am playing with..I poured at 165.. and the clamshells took the heat... they came out beautiful.. Cathy

It has been a long. long time since I used BW in my soy... now I want to go with 3%.. but I have forgotten how to do this.. or am just plain brain dead..(and never was any good with Math) I want to harden up my soy.. most of the time I pour 4 pds at a time.. any help would be great... Thanks so Much :) Cathy
15. You can keep a bottle of fo some say up to a year before it gets Acrid.. I say some have lasted a tad bit after... but still is a bit off.. so use it up in a year time frame if you can.. me personal if I have to will only keep for 6 months.. never know how long a supplier might have had them either.. Hth Cathy
16. Autumn Orange at Bitter creek .. it is the dye chips though.. but is an Autumn orange.. just used it in a hot buttered rum.. but added a tad of deep yellow and a drop of brown.. came out like I wanted it to.. great color alone I think it would have been perfect for the Autumn orange color...Hth Cathy
17. I agree with Queen of hearts... the wattage on the warmer makes the difference...I had to switch over to a different warmer with a higher wattage.. I wasn't smelling my wax but slightly.. when I switched to a higher wattage then the same wax was kicking... Cathy
18. Yes you can... Alot of people will use I believe it is J223 and soy for there own blend some go 50/50.. others might go less or higher... if you have a preblend that already makes a great candle.. I would just stick with it... but if you want to experiment.. try different formula's till you achieve want you think is great...HTH Cathy
19. I have 3 Golden retrievers.. and none of them have ever got sick from the Fo.. they tolerate it well.. But none of them has been exposed to the oil for licking ..anything on that order..just the smell and they are doing just great... as far as cats and birds.. I cannot not tell you.. do not have them any more... my son now has my Amazon parrot.. and he burns my candles and the parrot has not been affected either ..nor his dogs or cat... HTH Cathy
