you tested the 6036? What didn't you like about it?
-
candle science, peak, tn candle, ky candle, bluegrass, bert's, solas, oregon trail, northstar, farmhouse, heartfelt, widlfire, BCN, BCS, WSP, Daystar, tradewinds, scent works, just by nature, tony's, flicker's, millcreek, nature's garden, lonestar, candles & supplies, candle cocoon, scented bean, a garden eastward, fragrance oil central, fragrance oil heaven, fragrances by design, greenleaf, ICS, backwoods... that's a start...
ETA: I've only tested oils from a few of these, sorry I'm not more help!

Yeah, I've never liked trying to make oneself look better by making everyone else look worse. Politicians call it mud slinging. That grates on me, and I wouldn't buy on that fact alone if I were a customer.
The pics... gotta agree with Natty & others. The candle gets lost in the glare of the white behind it. All I see are yellow things around the candle.

there are 9 Axe dupes on this page alone (from DS):
-
Daystar has excellent customer service, I've never been disappointed with Stacey. She has an extensive line of Axe dupes.
-
CS has it.
Have you seen the supplier by state link? If you haven't, it's really helpful to find suppliers close to you. It's in a sticky at the top of the general candle forum.

I think that multiplying, etc. isn't the way to go for me. I think that charging what the market will bear is a much more business way of handling pricing. Some markets won't bear paying $15 for a candle. Some markets will gladly pay $115 for a candle.

I got lost, Top...
is the main thing you're telling us to focus on being selective or testing?
-
I'm boycotting fonts.... BAH on fonts....

sea island grapefruit from Flicker's
I'll 2nd sweet serendipity from SB too
could't get nishiki g'fruit from MC to throw like I wanted, and there was something about I didn't really like.
-
Rose - most realistic, not perfumey rose I've found
strawberry shortcake
garden refreshmint
heavenly cinnabun or their other cinnamon roll... one is more cinnamony, but I can't remember which off the top of my head
warm cider
hell, try them all.... I make my own soy blend, 6-8%, cd wicks, and haven't had a bad oil from them. Terrific customer service too.

SB, or scented bean
here's a link...

and I'd get some FO while you were there as well...

Hey, Kigers, where are you in NC? I'm in Fayetteville, but work in Cary.

so is megalomania...
sweetheart, this is a public board, and each and every forum (with the exception of marketplace) is public. Why on earth would you think I'm following you?
-
gotta agree about the carrot cake...
the only other one I've tested on your list is Euc/Spearmint and it's terrific.
I wish I could add something other than what you've already been told, but I'll just have to agree with them and say that I like FOH and have great luck with Kim's oils.

She has an internet hosting company, so she hosted the site for the gathering, thus she registered the domain (and she was paid for hosting the domain). When the committee and her had a disagreement, they split. She went and trademarked the name and sent the committee a cease and desist letter. It was a non-profit when the original committee was doing it, but now she has sent a C&D preventing anyone from doing a gathering in AZ as it hurts her business--so it isn't non-profit.
I am having nothing to do with it because it was posted by someone else on another site that the gathering was her idea and taken from her, but then later the same person admitted they had it wrong (wrong/lied--who knows) that she didn't come up with the idea.
In my opinion and from what I have read on other sites, she was mad because she wasn't on the committee so she took the name for herself--which was no different than stealing. I cannot support questionable behavior and doing something out of anger that has negatively impacted so many people, and has ruined what was once a good, free-spirited, fun occasion.

I haven't tested that one yet, but I will say that any oil I've tested with two leaves has thrown well in my soy blend. Sorry I can't help more.

don't forget to temper your wax
-
they have a dupe of love spell?
-
Usually one chooses wax based mostly on the closest supplier. Shipping cases of wax is quite expensive. For example, I really liked TN 70/30. But I am 15 minutes from Candle Science. CS doesn't have a 70/30 blend. So, I've come up with my own blend.
We pick a wax that is close, and then we come here and search or figure out how to work around the kinks of that particular wax.
-
if you look right above your post, in this very forum, there is a sticky named 'would like your help'. It is pages and pages and pages of what wax people prefer. Right there at your fingertips.

I tested LX, ECO and CD. CD won, hands down. Still got a bit of mushroom, but otherwise terrific burns.
-
Wow, I sure would have tested a few before making an entire order like that. That's a crapload of dye. Of course, I wouldn't have taken a large order for a product I hadn't fully tested either.

I don't accept a little off center. I use a wick centering tool to center the wick when I adhere it to the jar. I use a wick centering tool to center the wick after pouring. It's not hard to achieve perfection. I'm not a half-ass, it's good enough kind of person.
