  1. Can't say that I blame you. They are now on my never never list to now. I'll stick with ordering from peaks. Never had any trouble with them. Regina
  2. I am so mad I bought 3 dozen 14oz christmas tins from Candles and Supplies.com. Well today I went and filled 4 of them to make wickless candles and they leaked in the seam. There add states that even tho they are not seamless they do not leak. Well I have news for them They do. I emailed them to see what they say and no answer yet. So If anyone is using these tins be very careful and check them after you pour your wax in them. Regina

  5. I just got my presto pot today. And all I can say is WOW I don't know how I ever did without it. But I do have a question. Do all you candle makers leave it on all the time. Or when your done shut it off. Thanks Regina
  6. I have a question. Lets see what you all think. I have been watching ebay and esty and I have noticed that some people are advertising triple scented tarts. How can this be I thought with making soy tarts you only use 1 to 1.5ozs per pound of wax. If they were to triple scent them it would be 3 to 4.5 ozs per pound. Woulden't that be way to much FO. I could be wrong but I would think the FO would seep out of the tart. Something to think about Regina
  7. Thanks for the info all.I am going to try the M&P from Peaks and see how I like it. I have been looking for a goats milk soap that doesn't have all those extra unwanted ingredents Regina

  10. Hi I have been using the 4627 for a short time now. But so far I have not had any issues with my zink wicks smoking. I use 8 to 10% FO and have not had a problem yet. I really love the 4627 wax and I won't be changing anytime soon. Regina
  11. I also switched from chips to liquid. Peaks is the only liquid dyes I will buy They are GREAT. Now I don't have those little specks of undisolved dye in my candles. Regina
  12. I also agree. The round ones are what I use for wickless. And the square for wicked. Regina
  13. Hi to clear things up. I made a candle about 2 weeks ago. I tested it back then and it came out perfect. Thank goodness. So I finally made my first good batch of 12 candles I allways test one candle all the way to the end before I decide If there good enough to make more. Regina
  14. Hi all I am so happy I made my first 12 candles today. I switched to the 4627 and all I can say is WOW. I melted wax to about 180 degrees. Then added FO Sweet pumpkin spice from Peaks. And a Z51-32-18 wick. About 8% then I added my color and mixed until it reached about 135 degrees. I am using the 10oz pumpkin jars. After they set up I trimed the wick and hit them with a heat gun. I have been burning one in my house for 3 days now and the hot and cold throw are just fantastic. My whole house smells GREAT. I am so glad I changed my wax. I know I will be staying with this one Regina
  15. I used to make my tarts in the metal cups then pack them in sets of 4. Now I use the 1oz cups and they are selling alot better. My coustmers really like the cups better. They can buy one and try out a scent to see If they like it. And to me they are alot faster to make. Regina
  16. Hi I use zinc wicks and they work quite well for me. They burn fine in my candles but I use a 70/30 mix soy Parffin. I may soon change my wax to parffin to. You must give them a try and see how you like them Regina

  18. I use a 50/50 mix and I still need to let them sit for a few days to get a really good throw. If I try to burn them the same day there not as strong. Regina

  22. Help I am making soy tarts using the Ecosoy Pillar Blend to make them. When I made them using my metal tart molds I had no trouble. But now I am using rubber molds to make some fall leaves and bears and for some reason when I go to un mold my tarts they are cracking. I use 1 1/2 oz of FO and 1lb of wax. What could be wrong. Any help would be appriciated Thanks Regina

  24. I am going to start using the 4627 wax. I have heard alot of great reviews about it. What I wanted to know was do you still use the same amount of FO'S as you do in soy. I use 1 to 11/2 oz. I am planning on using just that wax. Regina
