Thank you Kelly. Really appreciate your input.
The recipe called for the EO/FO to be mixed with the crystal and since I don't want the citric acid to start fizzing, I'm not sure at which point to add the scent & the citric. I'll just have to play with it.

Anyone? Is it bad form asking for help with someone else's recipe?
-
or babassu. These 3 are considered the cleansing oils in soapmaking.

Newbie here wanting to make this for holiday gift.
How's the best way to incorporate the FO & colorants since I don't want to use the menthol crystals? I think I read about some salts being difficult to color?

Too advanced for me but I'll be sitting in. Thanks Grumpy. I know I'll learn plenty from this class.

They look fabulous. Congrats!

yeah, what she said. Are these SS colors?
-
Thanks Scented. Yeah, I am fairly new but I have done 5 batches. I hope to do at least 2 more before Grumpy's class. Maybe I'll be ready by then?
-
I guess I'll just "watch" this one so I can learn how it works. Then I'll be ready for Grumpygirl's salt bar.

Did you know you can save soapcalc onto your computer to use without being online? I do it all the time. In any case, congrats on your purchase.

Do a search. I believe GrandmaArial tried it. Don't remember how it did.

DeJae,
Interesting indeed? I'd be curious to know if it has a fishy odor to it. Let us know. Btw, would the fish oil saponify?
-
Congratulations!
I'm fairly new to this myself but I can help you here. You'll want to cut them into bars & let them sit to cure for at least 6 weeks.
-
Can someone explain how exactly this "class" thing works? How do I sit in one of these classes?
-
Those colors & swirls rock!
Is the blue jean select shades?

Wow. I hadn't seen these before. They're sensational! You certainly have no need to be jealous. You're very talented.

I agree with CareBear. I think both mp & cp are a work of art.
I don't sell. I make them for our use & gifts. But when I make a gift for someone, I think about what their style is. Is the soap for a young & trendy person? Maybe I'll go with mp in a cute or flowery mold, or with curls embedded. If the person is an all natural kind of girl, I go with a natural cp. For guys, maybe a bright colored clear mp. For my granddaughters, mp in a girly mold. They just love my flip flops.
I think they both have their place.

Congratulations. Those look f___ amazing!

For these cupcakes, do you throw the whole thing into the tub? If so, what happens to the icing in the tub?
-
Ok, finally used my silicon'd mold. I placed a piece of freezer paper to line down 1 side, across bottom & up the other side. That way I had something to tug, just in case the soap stuck. That worked perfectly.

They're lovely.
