  1. I'm in Portland, OR. I saw on another thread that Robin has a supplier in Fresno. Can't remember the name right now, but I might check that one out, too.
  2. Thanks to both of you. Sarah's is closer to me and I love the prices.
  3. Where is the list. I'm not seeing it???:embarasse
  4. Now that red devil is out of the pure lye business, where are you getting your lye? I'd love to find a west coast supplier.
  5. Hey, I used to think soap had to have color, now I'm not so sure, lol. It definitely has to have some smell-good, though. Get your sh** together and we'll have a soapmaking party. We can invite all kinds of folks and maybe even the dancin' baby will show up!
  6. Hee, hee, and you know I'm still hear for you anytime. In fact, I still have your recipe on my soapmaker, lol.
  7. Oh, yeah!!!! And I especially like the part about the pancake batter. It took me a loooong time to figure that one out. I used to think just a little thicker would be better, lol!
  8. Any chance this stuff is bb safe?
  9. Wow, Cindy! You're doing great. Those are just beautiful and professional.
  10. Put rubbing alcohol (get the strong kind--90 some percent) in a spray bottle and start spraying the minute you see ash begin to form. Spray it completely and let it dry then spray again. Keep spraying until you think you've got the ash under control. It really works.
  11. I soaped Asian Sandalwood. It discolored to a dark brown but smelled wonderful. A great man's scent. Edited to say I can't remember if it accelerated but I don't think so.
  12. You've got two of my faves there, patchouli and orange calendula.....yum! Very lovely soapies!
  13. Thanks so much y'all. I think I'm going to be making some more soapies, so I'll be around a little more often. Good to "see" you all.
  14. Thanks so much. Yes, it is a stamp. You can get stamps from lots of places, but I get most of mine from Brambleberry because of where I live. And yes, you can stamp on soaps made in a log mold. Just cut the soap as usual, lay them out flat, and stamp away (I pound the stamp with a hammer about 4 or 5 times). HTH.
  15. I haven't posted in awhile but I'm on vacation and had a chance to make some soap just for me. This is 50/50 rbo and oo. It will need to cure for a long time, but when it's ready it will be wonderful. I scented it with EOU's sandalwood blend. It needs to get a bit harder before I can cut it. Thanks for looking:D .
  16. Hi and welcome, Liz. Glad you decided to post. There are lots of helpful folks here, so ask away;) .
  17. Well, nothing in my pot, sorry to say:( . I'm officially back to work (from home, that is), so I'll be busy with that. Also, I've started knitting, so I'm totally glued to a knitting project right now, lol. Addictions take all forms:rolleyes:
  18. They turned out very cool, Les.
  19. Boy, I agree with you those who think you should sell your boxes. They are fabulous!
  20. Yup, I use mine with cpop. Works great. My slab mold is the 12 bar with lines.
  21. I have three Upland Molds and love all of them. What kind are you thinking about getting?
  22. See how close the bubble is to the wick? That's where the bubbles form, so when you poke those holes, poke them close to the wick. And btw, ask me how I know:rolleyes:
