  1. Bet they smell every bit as good as they look.
  2. I've been putting it off, but those are so pretty, it's making me want to give them a try.
  3. Patchouli Cinnamon Bun Creme Brulee White Tea & Ginger Basil Sage Mint Honey Coco Mango
  4. I've read where cyclomethicone is easy to mix for both body & linen sprays. Simply add your fo / eo at of choice, at proper ratio, to cyclo. and mix.
  5. I didn't have a recipe on hand, but upon doing a bit of searching I came across a couple that may help. 1) Cyclomethicone Linen Spray-Mix in FO or EO at any dilution depending on desired strength and recommended usage levels of FO or EO. Common dilution rates are 1 part FO/6 parts cyclo up to 1 part FO/3 parts cyclo. Won’t leave linens wet and doesn’t stain! (test on white linen to make sure the FO doesn’t stain tho!) 2) 1/4 c distilled water 1/4 c witch hazel + FO/EO of choice
  6. I was thinking about using something along these lines, http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/Product.aspx?Tab=4&CatalogID=9&GroupID=550&CatalogTitle=0&CategoryID=551&CategoryName=Basic+Straight+Jar. Thought the pretty layers would show up nicely with them.
  7. I just placed an order with them Fri., my first time using them. Maybe I'll give them a call Mon. and see how things stand.
  8. Don't use the VB, sorry, but I do use the EcoSoya PB for votives. I add 1/2oz. BW per lb. and don't have problems with cracking and such. Only occasionally have to zap one or two with heat gun.
  9. Thanks so much mystical . That's exactly what I needed to know.
  10. I just finished pouring up testers for fall / christmas scents from the last Peaks sampler I ordered. I'm trying Amish Harvest, Spruce Christmas Tree, Spiced Cranberry, Cornucopia, Sugar Plum Berries, Home for the Holidays & Hot Cocoa. Would love to hear what anyone else thinks of these. I'm loving them all!
  11. I saw a pic of these and they looked positively yummy. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if I have the process right before trying my hand at it. Do you scent the lotion and color the aloe gel? I would worry that scenting the aloe would make it too watery and seems to me that it would likely pick up the scent from the lotion. Not sure if it would look better with the lotion dyed or not. Would love to hear any and all opinions.
  12. These little gems have kept me so busy since I started making them. Everyone who tries them has given rave reviews. Thanks so much to bunny for a wonderful recipe!! Bunny's Bath Melts 8 oz. cocoa butter (the smelly one) 1 1/2 cups baking soda 1/3 cup corn starch 1-2 tbsp. cocoa powder (if you want it brown) 1 cup citric acid Melt cocoa butter. When it's melted, add baking soda, corn starch, and if a dark chocolate melt is wanted, add cocoa powder. If not, leave as is. After everything is completely mixed and molds are ready, cool until pot is just warm to the touch, but still liquid. Add citric acid and stir like mad! Pour quickly into lined molds, then in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Have held up very well in warm weather. *Note: When you make it, if you want to add fo, rather than chocolate scent, use deodorized cocoa butter and add 1 tbsp. body safe fo.
  13. This one is truly awesome!!! Silky Suds 16 oz. baking soda 4 oz. citric acid 8 oz. sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSA) 7 oz. sea salt 3.5 oz. dry non-fat milk fragrance oil (25 drops, more or less) skin safe colorant, if desired 1. Place baking soda, fo and colorant in a gallon ziplock bag and zip shut. Make sure you squeeze the air out of the bag first. Knead the bag as if you were kneading bread dough. This will help to work in the fo and colorant. You may need to keep adding colorant until you reach the desired shade. Colorant is tricky...you don't want to add too much so add a drop at a time. You can always add more. Remember that you will be diluting the color so to speak when you add the rest of the ingredients. 2. Once you've reached your desired color, add the citric acid and SLSA. Again, knead the bag. 3. Add your sea salt and dry milk. Again, knead the bag. Add 3 tbsp. to bath.
  14. Can't recall who posted this one ( forgot to write it on recipe), but it's awesome. I'm totally addicted to it. ** Milk Bath 1 cup dry milk powder 1 cup baking soda 2 tbsp. corn starch 10-25 drops fo Put it all in a ziplock and shake, shake, shake. Use 2-3 tbsp. per warm bath.
  15. I know how lost I was without the boards and their wealth of info, so thought I'd dig up what I could find right off hand and try to help build it back up. Hope you don't mind, but found a few recipes I thought I'd add that were my personal faves from the boards. Kimberly's Whipped Shea Recipe 12 oz. Shea Butter 2 oz. Mango Butter 2 oz. Hempseed Butter 5 oz. oil 2 tsp. cornstarch
  16. I'm so happy to have the boards back. Didn't realize how much I'd come to enjoy and rely on them until it crashed. Thank you so much Alan and everyone for all your hard work in getting it back up and running. You probably saved my sanity .
