Do you think it is even necessary to have the insurance if you use warning labels? Any info I can get will be appreciated. Thank you.
  2. I have been reading about using Lemongrass to keep the bugs away. We are a family of campers and love the idea of the pine cone firestarters. Could you please tell me how you do it HeavenScentU? Do you use wax or just the fo on the pine cones? Would appreciate any help. Thanks

  4. Carol: I just made a 8oz Strawberry Jam (Millcreek) last night, it smells good enough to eat. I can hardly wait to burn it to see if it stays as good as it is now. Was wondering how long you let yours cure before burning the first time. I could smell it in one end of the house last night an hour after I put the lid on the jar.

  14. I have not made tarts before, I am thinking about it now but not sure what wax works best. I am currently using GB415 for container candles, can I use the same for tarts? Also need advice on using tins instead of glass jars for my candles. Any advice appreciated.
  15. Thanks Jami, I am so new at this I really don't know what wet spots are. Do they affect the way the candle burns? Yes, I did have the jars close together, won't do that again. d
  16. I poured a batch of candles yesterday, today I see dark spots on the sides of the jars, looks like shadows. It dosen't look like the wax pulled away from the jar. I am using the same wax as always, and not a new fragrance. I used all the same temperatures I always do. I have never noticed this before. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
  17. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate your advice.
  18. Thank you for the help. I have only let them cure around 24 hrs. before burning. Will give them a week from now on. Thanks again.
  19. Sorry, yes I should have given you more info. I have used Golden 464, the fragrances have been Northstar both regular and ultra strength. Also have used NVSoy. I heat the 464 to 175 degrees, ad the fragrance at 150 and pour at 130. I have tried stirring alot and not so much. I started out using 1 oz per lb of wax, have cut the wax down to 1/2 lb. I did just finish some with Indiana Candle Supply fragrance, they seem alittle stronger, but have not burned one yet. Would appreciate any help.
  20. I am new to candle making, I am having problems getting a strong enough fragrance. Some have no fragrance at all. I have followed directions exactly and still the not strong enough. I am about to give it up.
  21. I am new to the forum and new to candle making. I have exactly the same problem. I followed the directions but have no fragrence, also the wicks are bending at the tip then drowning in the melted wax. I used Golden Wax blend 464, the wicks are HTP 105.
