  1. For my invitations I use Vista Print post cards - www.vistaprint.com. My business cards and brochures also come from there and I only buy when they are on sale. The last time I bought the post cards I only had to pay for shipping...$5.15...so way cheaper then printing them myself. Good luck with you open house! Karen
  2. I think she's a little slower than some suppliers. It normally takes at least a week for me to get my order...which isn't bad(not complaining at all!!) but some of my other suppliers ship same day if I order early in the day so I have those orders within 2 days. Like was stated previously she just moved so she might be a little behind with her orders. Her oils are so fantastic I don't mind the extra couple of days it takes to get them. Well worth it! Karen
  3. Chele, I heard a very similary story on another board last year but the person stated they had received it as a wedding gift. When they were told that they could get a replacement by simply returning the cracked jar they said they had thrown it away. Sounds like a scam attempt to me! Karen
  4. Lately my fave has been Olive Blossom from Flickers, but Rainwater from Candle Science and Rosemary Mint from BNL/BCN are closing in fast!! Karen
  5. I have never had any luck finding round labels in the stores around here. I started ordering from - http://www.brownkraftlabels.com If you order early in the day they ship same day, I always have mine within 2 days. Karen
  6. I had mine designed at Studio Beck Designs and I had a great experience working with Becky! Karen
  7. Thank goodness it's just not me!! I was beginning to wonder if my credit card company had put a spell on my computer!! Thanks Candlebuddy for the phone number!! Will get them called on Monday!! Karen
  8. I have the correct addy...I keep getting an error that internet explorer can not open the site, operation aborted. Have never had a problem till yesterday. Have tried it from my computer at home and now I have been trying from work..get the same error from both computers. :-( If anyone can send me their phone number..I'll just call my order in. Thanks everyone! Karen
  9. I have been trying to get into the Candle Science website for 2 days and keep getting an error. Is anyone else having the same problem? And if so...does anyone know what's up?? Thanks, Karen
  10. I try to always ship on Mondays or Tuesday and I always double box..candles in one box inside another box surrounded by peanuts or shred. Have shipped as far away as Germany and Australia. In 7 yrs have yet to have a broken jar...knock on wood! :-) Also...I never ship in July or August. Karen
  11. AWE is a top notch supplier, great customer service and Jennifer is a very nice lady to deal with!! Unfortunately I only use one of their FO's and that's the Blackberry Sage so I can't help you much with suggestions. I did just test Rosemary Mint and it's the nicest RM I have tested but just not strong enough in my soy. I used to carry their Cotton Blossom which is super strong but not a good seller for me so I discontinued it. Have heard good things about her Coconut Cake but have yet to test it myself...it's sitting in the box with my other 100 samples to test! Karen
  12. Millcreek for me too. Next would be Heartfelt and Snowtop (now at ICS), Candle Source and Candle Science. I have a boat load to test from Flickers and if they are any way near as good as her Olive Blossom(love, love, love this scent), I'll be adding her to my list of top suppliers. BTW..I use pure soy. Karen
  13. I give a "Friends & Family" discount. My candles retail for $7-$7.50 in the stores and I discount them to $5 for friends and family. Karen
  14. I heard that the Ohio area gathering is in June this year, this is either the 5th or 6th year for it. If you are interested in more information here's the web addy from last years - http://www.midwesternchandlers.com/ Karen
  15. Just started buying from Flickers myself and have only poured Olive Blossom and I love, love, love this scent!! An incredible throw in pure soy and a beautiful scent. Karen
  16. Apple Danish from Heartfelt is excellent in pure soy. Strong hot and cold plus it's one of those scents that lingers. I also like the Apple Pie from Candle Source. The cold throw is a little weak but it's awesome burning. Karen
  17. Heartfelt's Lilac in Bloom is a really good seller for me. Recently added Lilac & Honeysuckle from Just Scent to my line after my testers fell in love with it and threatened me if I didn't carry it. :-) Karen
  18. I have used Snowtop since she first opened so I feel your pain! :-) So far I am planning on buying mine at Candle Science....shipping is very reasonable for 200 pounds..and the price of the wax was less than I was paying thru Snowtop. I'll be going thru Durham on vacation this year so planning on stopping at CS on the way home and loading up on supplies. Not sure what we'll do with the luggage. LOL Millcreek is another option. Karen
  19. I just sold some oils on Ebay and our local post office refused to even accept them to ship parcel post. They started to recite to me all these regulations and what would happen to me if there was leakage or if a plane blew up. I ended up shipping them UPS. Which never questions anything...at least for now. Karen
  20. I just received the newsletter from Angie then saw it on her board. Was very surprised but after reading the newsletter I understand her decision. Definitely going to miss her as she has been my primary supplier..wax, FO's and wicks...for many years, but she has to do what's best for her and her family. I wish her nothing but the best. Karen
  21. I have been pouring soy candles for 7 yrs and in my opinion have found people prefer scent throw over appearance. Since my candles are dye-free frosting isn't an issue but I do get wet spots from time to time. Truthfully I don't think customers even notice...they are too busy sniffing the jars. Like the other post says...buy samples of different soys and see which one works best for you and which one gives you the results of what you personally think a soy candle should be. You can ask 100 soy users and they will all give you different opinions! :-) Good luck and remember to have fun with it! Karen
  22. Honeysuckle & Lilac Honeysuckle & Jasmine Honeysuckle & Rose Karen
  23. My favorite is Pomegranate from TCS. My best seller is Banana Nut Bread from Snowtop. Karen
  24. Pomegranate is my absolute favorite scent. I really like the one from Tennessee Candle Supply and also like Alabaster's Pomegranate Blackberry. Both are great in pure soy. Karen
