I lived in 85297 for three years and always used MMS, they were there the next day most times via UPS (well, the day after they shipped). They don't have FBB, but they have everything else. I actually am selling 8 oz jars and lids, almond oil and I have a little Goat's Milk M&P (about 2 pounds), since I'm downsizing. I don't want to be obnoxious about it, but if you're interested, it's all from MMS.

A lot of it depends on where you live, for shipping purposes. I like MMS and www.onederbar.com, but everyone prefers their own suppliers.

I do it once a day, at night in the tub. In the ams, I just splash with some cool water and wipe. I've also gone through a period when I used Cetaphil in the mornings, but I'm back to just splashing. I used to have horrible dry skin in the winter, little flakes all over my face that I couldn't get off no matter how I exfoliated, and now I have almost perfectly balanced skin. I'm so happy with it. Another perk is that I have ZERO blackheads. Seriously.

I've found two problems with that: the first is, unless my components are at least 100*, when the ewax hits the oils/butters, it immediately cools down and gets grains. Second, if it's not hot enough, when I whip it together, it cools too quickly to get it into the jars easily. Those have been my challenges, so overcome those and I'll sing your praises!

Oh yeah, I do put a little natural Vit E in mine. I do like it.

Ah-ha! Well, what matters is that you've found something you're happy with, I'm impressed! I've never dabbled with silk, I bet it's awesome.

Is that the line that has the small pumps like a face serum? I was reading the label, and it looks like it has HUGE amounts of cyclo/dimethicone in it that is the main component of the silky feeling...forgive me if I'm talking out of my bootie, but I think they use that as their largest oil component.

I use OCM (and love it so much I even sell it on my site, and have gotten a ton of people hooked on it). I think that you'll find even more success if you add castor and olive oils to the recipe. The almond oil is great, but the castor has a drawing property that brings out the impurities and unclogs your pores. Here's an article I wrote on the process www.purehenry.com/ocm.htm My mix is approx: 2 ounces castor 1 ounce olive .5 ounce grapeseed .5 ounce sweet almond oil a few drops of tea tree essential oil for antibacterial purposes Everyone's face is different, and I've found that my skin thrives on a combo using just under 1/2 castor, with a little more olive and grapeseed thrown in. Castor can be drying, and my face tends to dry out quickly, so that's what's ideal for me. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!

What about an herbal one that will be a "relaxing" scent, we all know how twisted up when we got married. :rolleyes2 Lavender Chamomile Spearmint or Vanilla or a romantic one... Amber Romance Midsummer Nights Ambra di Nepal What a nice gift, and you'll have to tell us what you decide!

Lavender is always a popular aromatherapy scent, mix it with vanilla or jasmine, and you won't be able to keep it on the shelves. Something citrusy, like bergamot with lemon and maybe a little sage or geranium to keep the citrus from being too strong is a great mix for an energizing scent. There's always the ubiquitous Eucalyptus Spearmint, everyone carries is, and it really is a great fragrance. I also love Chamomile alone, but it also blends well, and as with Lav, people are familiar with the name, so they are more prone to sniff it. I've noticed that a little exotic is cool, but people get weirded out when you use too many obscure oils. Then maybe a Cedarwood mix, to appeal to those who like the heavier, romantic scents. What I would do is go to BBW and see what combos they have, check out the selections of essential oil mixes from Sweetcakes, they have some amazing combos, and write down the ones that appeal to you, then start mixing and see what works!

Last year, MC's Balsam and Spice was an unexpected HUGE hit for me. I only added it because I needed a tree-like scent, and something unisex. Turned out it was my second fastest seller, I was really shocked.

I have 100 that I will be selling as soon as I get to my candle supplies. If you want them, they're all in a flat rate box. I'll sell 'em for $18.00 plus 8.10 shipping if you (or anyone else) wants them. I got them in a coop run by luvcandletarts2, same person that's running one now.

That's funny, how different everyone is - I LOVE Tuscan Nights. It's not something I'd grab off the shelf at a store, but the more i burn it, the more I love it. And see, I don't get a BIT of floral in it...I would call it herbal, or romantic. I can almost taste the basil in it. I've never smelled Midsummer's, so can't help you there, sorry. Just wanted to stick my nose in, LOL!

Yeah, I can't see a smaller wick cutting it with a 3" with soy - that really stinks. How frustrating. I don't know how they compare, and google didn't help. I did see that the LX22 is recommended for the same size container as a CD 16, and I do know that it's a commonly recommended wick size on the boards, but I don't have any personal experience with it. I'm sorry I can't help you more.

Chris - avocado is soft-ish, so I would sub shea or anything else that is semi-soft at room temperature. If you add something harder, you could cut back on the stearic to make up for the added hardness of the butter.

Whoops, just saw you only have LXs and soon HTPs. I use a HTP 1312 in the 3 1/2, so maybe check out the one and two sizes below that?

Hey Fernie-girl! I have a 3" glass container I wick with a CD 16, and I wick my 3 1/2" glass jar with a CD 22, so you may start somewhere in there. Sorry I can't be of more help...:tiptoe:

I get mine from MMS, I've never seen it around here without it being super-expensive.

Yes, I would increase your b/w by 1%, see how 3% works for you. I can't go beyond that, even in our S. TX high humidity weather, or I get cracks.

I like mine with soy wax, it leaves a really neat silky, slightly powdery afterfeel, unlike b/w. Keep in mind that you will have to use 2x the amount of soy that you would with b/w.
