Is that pretty comparable for what companies like YankMe charge?
Yes, it is, and in the area where I live, I doubt I could get more than that for them. There is still a good profit to be made charging $2.00.

Fall is definitely around the corner. Sales are starting to pick up for me. Looking forward to my first ever open house in October and the "big" two-day craft fair in November. Hope we all do well this year!!

I charge $2.00 for mine.

not that bad when ya buy a huge box at the dollar or or thrift grocery... she was selling them like hotcakes!
I guess since I haven't had to buy these puppies for so long (hooray!) I didn't realize they could be purchased on the cheap these days!

Going to experiment for the first time pouring layers. I'd like to make red and white peppermint candles for the holidays. Wish me luck!!

Sharon, that is fantastic! Unfortunately, I cannot download Quicktime on my work computer and have to wait until I get home to see your clip. I'm hoping this will give you a lot of exposure. Congratulations!!!!!

Sounds like expensive firestarters to me. I make mine with hampter litter, scrap wax, and scrap wicks. Don't think I'll be buying expensive tampons to make em!

I recently did votives for a bridal shower. I wrapped each votive in a cello bag tied with a ribbon in the bride's wedding colors. I affixed a hang tag with the bride & groom's name and wedding date on the front. The back side of the hang tag was stamped with my business name, addy, phone number & website.

Those are really cute! I have two Walgreens in my area... I'll have to go check them out.

Robin, I TRULY understand!!!!!!!!!!!! My downfall is the dollar stores ... Dollar Tree and Deals! All those $1 items add up in a hurry and I usually end up spending a small fortune. I used to spend even more at Big Lots but, unfortunately for me but fortunately for my checkbook, they closed ours last year!

I've used both but prefer the electric over the tealight hands down. I have added some unique electric tartburners to my product line and have had a good response.

Best sellers in the fall/winter for me are:
NG: Christmas Splendor
Peaks: Cinnamon & Balsam, Mulberry
LS: Home Sweet Home, Buttercream

Since i use CD Wicks - i was told to twist them. You know how they hang over to one side - this i was sooooooo thankful for to have been told this!
This may be the SECOND best piece of advice I have received! Thanks for sharing that, Carlena!!

Test, Test and Test again .... by far the best advice I ever got!

I think it's great looking! I'd add the net wt. to the clear label and then the contact information where you have it now. I think it looks very stylish! I can't imagine any other type label on that jar. You've done good!!!

I love Vista Print. Use them for my business cards, postcards, stamps, etc. They have tremendous sales all the time! I've never spent much money with them and always receive quality products!

I pour 100% soy so, yes, I let mine cure before selling them.

Pouring creme brulee, buttercream and cinnamon buns to fill an order for gift crates. Also hosting a luncheon for the women in my family on Sunday. Fun! Good luck to anyone doing a fair this weekend!

I like the concept and the labels are really nice! I can see those sitting in a winery gift shop. I wish you all the best. Cheers!!

It sounds awesome and I'd be curious to see it once it's complete. Thanks for sharing!

I use a glass measuring cup to weigh my oils in. I usually scrape my cup with a little rubber spatula after pouring and then stir the wax with the spatula. There's always going to be some FO left in the cup but not that much.

Oh, your workshop is dreamy! I won't post a pic of mine ... I doubt if anyone is interested in seeing my kitchen. I, too, am dreaming of a workshop!!!
-
I think your site is great! Your pictures are really good, too. Clear, colorful and large enough to see what you are purchasing. Great job IMO!!!!!

What a beautiful setting. Congratulations on such a great fair!
Playing around with company names, How about this one...

I like J.B. Nimble. I think that's pretty clever.
