yep - recalculated.... can I rebatch it... ? maybe use it as chuncks or something in another soap?

I did CP - it wasn't like butter... not as crumbly as crackers... but when I put the knife in to cut... it split down the middle... I just chunked it up... I can rebatch this can't I... it smells so good !

I made pumpkin cheesecake on Wed & when I unmolded & started to cut it last night it just fell apart.... what could have caused it? Here's my recipe.. Avocado Oil 4 oz. Cocoa Butter 2 oz. Coconut Oil 10 oz. Olive Oil 12 oz. palm Oil 6 oz. Palm kernel 4 oz. Rice Bran 6 oz. Shea Butter 4 oz I didn't have Palm kernel so I used Apricot Kernel instead...... HELP !!!

the little red dots are sugar sprinkles like you use for cookies.. didn't think a little would hurt... I have no idea how I got the OM&H so light... I didn't color... just the oils & butters....

the brown is Vanilla Hazelnut Coffee - it's the kitchen soap made with coffee instead of water.. on the right is OM&H - the ones on the bottom are Warm Vanilla Sugar

I have purchased from Stone Stew South a ton of times... her potpourri is absolutely fantastic... and her prices aren't bad either.... I sell a ton of it at the fall shows.. the scent lasts forever... ! (she's got great coffee & tea too)

I read that there is a difference in skin safe & body safe.... you can use colors in soap that you wouldn't use in lotion... you wash soap off - not lotion. You can eat crayons... not that I have, but they are non toxic - so I wouldn't think they'd hurt your skin.... ?

don't know what drug stores you have in your area.. but I found lye at both Drug Mart & Walgreens

I tested it when she first came out with it.. love it so much I switched. It does take a little work to get the wick down.. but once you do - it's excellent. Haven't found an FO yet that hasn't thrown... !

I'm getting ready to order from Tropical Butters before I miss the sale... here's my question.... Cocoa Butter - Ultra Naural or White Shea Butter - Natural or Ultra Refined or does it really matter? thanks !!

I use the 3oz dixie cups.. the ones I bought are plastic so they slid right out & I can reuse...

Katrinity it didn't take long at all - about 45 minutes.. seemed like it took a while to trace... but I'm liking it alot !!!

here's an easy one.. the one I just used - I got it off the board before the crash.... Heres a basic recipe. You can buy all this stuff at the super market or drug store. 10oz of olive oil 7oz of coconut oil 1 tbl castor oil 6 oz distilled water 2.6 oz lye 1/2 tsp tumeric for yellow color Don't really need to add this if you don't want too. Read Robins tutorial if this is your first time soaping. Mix your water and your tumeric. Set aside. measure out your lye. Pour lye into water. NEVER POUR WATER INTO LYE!!! Set aside and let cool to 100 degrees. Melt your oils together and let cool to 100 Pour lye into oils Add castor oil at light trace Stir with stick blender util full trace. Took me about 5 mins Pour into prepared mold. insulate mold and let it sit for 24 hours. then cut into bars .

FOH has an Apricot Vanilla that's really good !
