  1. Still going to order the 2 odor eliminator from CS and NG BUT the lady said her husband ordered candles. She still wants a few from us.She asked how many go in the $4.95 flat rate.None now. That is more for tarts.

The Odor Eliminator is on my craft show list for this year. The others I have will just be on the shelf.I need to see where they came from.

Been awhile since I tried the FO but glad it was brought to my attention.Last year she was going to buy later. Now it is later but her husband ordered candles.

Anybody ever get this??? My head is spinning....

  2. Looks like I will try a couple samples from Both CS and NG. Those 2 companies I order from but didn't get odor eliminatior from them.

I want to see if I like the spicy or lemon one. This person said she buys this scent. One of her favs. She e-mailed last year and now again this year.I told her I could send her a couple samples with the order she was placing. See which one she likes the best.

I know one odor eliminator isn't the same as the other. I might ask her if the one she has tried and likes is lemony or spicey. That could help me in the decision.

    Thank You All

  3. This is interesting. My Husband and I always used to look for Made in America.Never brought unless it was.we got out of it(NEVER LOOK).BUT the other day we were looking AT tomatoes.all were grown in Mexico. He feels a little leery with all things going on there and what do they use to grow them.He decided to try but not sure we will buy from that store again. At least not produce. If tomatoes came from there I am sure other produce also is grown in Mexico.

I am not surprised about that house being Non American

  4. Looking for a good odor eliminator.Someone requested that scent.I have a couple but not what I think are good and strong. I thought the scent was lemony but don't detect that. The 2 I have are mild.

    Thank You

  5. WOW 2 ounces per lb.That is a lot of scent.More than most candlemakers use.

I have no idea WHY you can't smell it.

To me the tins should bring out the scent more.Jars do but tins would be better with the scent.I never put my 8 candles on a warmer.Takes 2 hours or more just to get the 8 ounces melted.

  6. Mine would have to be Clove.I never had any desire to try the scent till I got a order.I liked it and understood why it was a seller for this wholesaler.BUT now I hate it.My senses are changing in the last year.So NOW I can't stand the scent.

So NOT SURE if I would like it, Then liked it and now back to realizing I will never burn that candle again. Takes my breath away!!!!!!:shocked2:

  7. I am like Brudil18.No contracts. One wholesaler uses our name and the other uses her business name.Fine with me either way. They pretty much know when the order will be shipped. This past craft season I got busier but the one wholesaler told me no hurry but needed them by the day after Thanksgiving. That was no problem. She ordered early and as I got candles made I would mail them. She got most of the order before the day after Thanksgiving. The last few candle were mailed about 4 days before. That way she wasn't doing labels etc at the last minute. This was a large order. And had another large order back to back with this one. Then craft shows to prepare for. This year starting early for shows.Summer for the Sept ones.

  8. We have 2 CC and we are paying them off. Quit using them awhile back.

When I order I use Pay Pal.I am like queensh.I will empty my cart after all the work just because they don't accept Pay Pay. I used to use my CC on sites but haven't for sometime. Want rid of those high interest charges. A rip off.Pay Pal is money up front and no giving out CC numbers.

  9. Luminous Boutique,WOW 2 weeks. That is a long time but I guess worth the wait.

Well I better insure the order then. With the breakage.I have good luck with orders being shipped to different parts of the US but one order that goes to CT is always either broke or lids damaged. The boxes arrive in shambles and some candle are a mess. Funny though. That order going to CT was fine for 2 years but just this last year it has be a mess.Makes me wonder what has happened just in the last year.

Overseas I can imagine what they go through. When the damage occurs I guess you just insure the package and send them another order for replacement.A hassle like you said.

Bernadette,Going to check out label printing, international shipping and customs forms. So far all I looked at were shipping costs.

    LynnS

  10. I was looking at USPS rates for international shipping.I have been thinking about shipping to other countries but looking at the cost I wonder if people get orders. For Mexico and Canada the cost is $27.95 for a med flat rate and $35.50 for a large flat rate.WOW.Cost was even higher for other countries.

For those who ship out of US do you get orders??? We worry about rates going up for the US shipping cost but what about these costs???

    Thank You

  11. Thank You Everyone.

Guess I am wrong about how it should smell but it is still HORRIBLE.

I am like SliverWax.Can't find a good Bayberry.I will order BCN's.I get fragrances from them and happy with their scents. If not what I am looking for then I will try CS.

This isn't a candle I would buy but customers like it . I must go for it.

    LynnS

  12. I know not the time of year for this one but I need to find another.I don't like the one I have. I see absolutely no berry in it.Just a scent I can't describe. Bad all around.:(

Where can I get a good Bayberry???? The bottle is out in the candle shed so I am not sure where I get that one particular scent but I must find another supplier.

    Thank You

  13. I just told my husband to check what we have in the candle shed.We need to start stocking now and not wait for fall and winter. I buy from them but also buy from others.Oh and my orders are here the next day.Great Customer Service.

Bert is the same way.Get my order the next day.

  14. I hope you find out something soon.I haven't ordered from them but the shipping sounds high for just 1 lb. Was it because the oil was restricted???

Have you tried a online search for the scent???I do that alot. But mainly I stay with my suppliers local and a few out of state.

I'll see what I can find about this scent.

  15. WOW 1.5 ounce to a lb of wax. That is alot.My first candle had that much FO.My friend insisted to make a good candle you have to use that amount.Well we did use that and had to fumigate the house. Not just making it but when we burned the candle. It was terrible.

I use 1 ounce of scent to 1 lb of wax. Never have a problem with scent throw.

If you are using that much FO and still not having a good scent throw you do need to change companies.

    I use:

    Bert's

    The Candlemaker Store

    The Candle Source

    AT WIX END

    Nature's Garden

I use a few other suppliers but these are the main ones.

I use 402 soy wax and customers are happy with my product.

  16. 2 shows I do are $150.High enough. One that is $150 is $75 for electric. High but the show is 3rd week of Oct and I won''t be cold.I use the heater. It starts out cold but gets warmer or else it stays cold all day.

The 3rd show I do is $75 and they are staying the same in cost.I do the best at that show but pay the least to do it.

$20 shows around here are Churches etc. The small shows and you are lucky to make anything.By the time the Churches etc have their shows the bigger ones are over with.People already have their shopping done.

I quit the small shows. To much work and no money. No use in making the stock and not selling it. :sad2:

  17. I need to check these out. Make a visit to the PO. I want to put this on my site because it would help with smaller orders. I have 2 very large orders for my candles but no out of state small orders.I want small ones too.

This could bring even locals wanting to do business.I had 3 people come to my house for candles. Probably be just as cheap(and not the hassle) for customers getting them in the mail. 2 people were nearby. One was about 45 minues. If they have a option they can get the orders mailed. Those orders were at least 12 JJ candles and they probably would fit in a medium flat rate. I pack snug and lots of newspaper. No breakage.

Very happy the PO got these boxes. I was worried when the small flat rate was discontinued and they came up with that box that will not hold candles but tarts. Could'nt fit candles in the small boxes they had last year but the year before the small flat rate could hold maybe 4 candles.

This will help all of us for shipping out of state.Maybe more will come back to ordering on-line. Shipping was getting higher every year. BUT so does everything else.
