I heard Bert's Lemon Verbena was good but when I looked on her site I didn't see it. I will have to e-mail her and ask. Her prices are so reasonable and great FO's.

I just placed 2 small orders so will e-mail her abut this scent.I like the Lemon Biscotti she has but a food scent.

Good about customs. I will have the order done and packed by tomorrow after seeing if it all will go in the large flat rate. Soon as I can get things in order I would like to ship overseas. A few months ago I got the paperwork but have no idea where it is now.

Since my shopping cart calculated $25 she will be happy if I can pull off and get this in the large flat rate.Money back.

I kept thinking it was US territory but husband said NO.He is usually up on this. Now it seems to be making my shipping problem easier. It MIGHT fit in a large flat rate. She did order 2 decorative tart warmers with some candles. It will be close.

Maybe she will get a break with the shipping(est.$25).That was my website calculating.

Guess I will be going TUES to PO to get a customs form.

I have a order from Puerto Rico.It will be mailed from OHIO. Just wondering what it costs for some of you(no matter where you live) to ship these orders. My shopping cart calculated $25 but I THINK it will be more.

Can these orders go in flat rate boxes and help with the shipping cost some. I know not what a order in the US would cost but overseas orders??? Or do I need some other boxes USPS has.

Have you tried Berts Gardenia yet.I know it is early but I have a order for that scent and looking for a better one. I order from her alot and love her scents.

One more thing.I remember when I started making candles my friend told me,"If you use less than 1.5 ounces of FO you might as well forget it".They will not be good. So I made a Apple Pie candle as my first one. I used 1.5 ounces of FO to 1 lb of wax. I had to open all doors and windows in the house. It was way to MUCH. I knew right then I made a BIG mistake.

My friend doesn't burn candles but when she brought one with the 1 ounce per lb she said she just opens the jar and a year later she could could still smell the candle. Same with a few other people who tell me they don't burn candles but smell mine forever without burning them. Just a waste of FO to use more than 1 ounce. Way to costly also.

I use 1 ounce per lb. No more or no less. I am like charmcandle(if I cannot get a good throw with 1 ounce) I drop that scent. I've only had problems with maybe 6 scents. A couple times I tried another company for a certain scent but I will NOT go over 1 ounce per lb.

The cost is way to much adding extra FO AND at times there will be problems with wicks drowning the more fragrance you add. Nit worth time and money.

I use 444 and 402 soy wax and both are good with the fragrances I use. I went to the 444 since the 402 I was buying keeps going up. Either one I have good luck with the hot throw and how my candles burn.

Slow down and don't get out of shape if things get in a tizzy like it always seems when it come to craft time. Start earlier for one thing.

Eat healthier and gain my 12 lbs back. I felt much better then and looked better. It will be broccoli at least once a week or maybe twice. Love it.

Try to get to bed earlier. Seems always something to do at the last minute and I won't sleep till I do it.

Pay off my CC.I won't charge on it now to get it down but like everyone knows it takes forever to pay off.I HATE CC's.

MIGHT change a building we have behind our house to a candle shop. It is ready to have some re-decorating. I know just how I want it IF my husband has time.

And last........ I am on my husband NOT smoke near me.He MUST go out but it is cold now. So far he is going to the basement but it took 3 days and me catching him sneak a cigarette in the living room. This is something he WILL be doing this year and my new resolution is not to let him slip.

Yes way to big for a warmer. I didn't know it was wickless you would be making.My heart candles burn great with 3 wicks.That is what they take to burn nicely.

Wood roses or the Valentine candle. The valentine jar can be purchased at Wal Mart.Look online for wood roses. Hundreds and hundreds of different colors.

Cappucino Brulee' is at BCN.I liked it. I don't make alot of coffee scented candles but I love them.

What is with the Italian Biscotti when it is being discontinued and hard to find. Not a seller???????????????

A rose scent is good as long as it isn't FRESH CUT ROSES. That is one scent that smells like a funeral home. Makes me SICK.:rolleyes2

I've known this or just believe in it myself long before I started making candles etc. A firm believer. BUT just this year for Christmas (family) I did put soap in a baggie and put wrapped candy in a baggie. Put this in just before I gave out the gift bags.

When doing VD gifts and had them on my site I never mentioned candy. I remember seeing where some candlemakers put candy corn in the tops of apothecary jars.OK for decoration but HOPE no one will eat it. I would put small tarts or potpourri in those jars. Never candy.

If I do Valentlne's Day this year on my site there will be no candy. Just adds to the cost and most people aren't buying alot. Most go down to the local stores and pick up. Not pay shipping.

I like my GB 444. I have used 402 and changed this year. Both waxes seem to be about the same but the 444 is cheaper where I get it.

The only difference to me was the 402 had rudey tops after pouring but zapped that with a heat gun.The GB444 had some sink holes. Did the same thing. Zapped with a heat gun.That is the only difference. The burns seem to be the same.

Problem is if I dont have with me how to pronounce it I'm sunk.That would take me awhile to learn.

These ideas are great. I wondered what people would think and how they do their websites.

I guess like Dustpuuppy said I feel it is stale now after almost 1 1/2 years. Before that I had the brown(nasty looking color). I always stay with the same jars. Maybe what I need to do is change my pics.Update those. After 3 years and the same pics could get boring.That may be an idea.

I know when I changed over a year ago a customer said she liked my change. All I did was change the color.

I'll check over my wording and see if that can be boring.The other day I changed some wording around.

I also need to take some things off and maybe add a couple other things.

The one website I was talking about has about ALL they sell on first page. Then you can click on the left for the same pic but just one candle size for that page. FOREVER. I think that is why it takes so long. If you have 30 items can you imagine.Like your candles, lotion, soap, potpourri, etc. etc on one page.

I have been debating on a face lift for my site.Will probably stay with the same site but a different color.I did that over a year ago.I changed from a dark goldish brown.I was so tired of that. Went to a lighter blue. It seems so much more inviting. Updating gives some class to it. Not the same ole same ole site customers could get tired of.

I go on one site and have been for 4 years. Not one thing has changed on that site. A boring place AND it takes forever for the site to come up. We have dial up and I get so bored. I don't believe that is the reason it is slow since my friend says she has the same problem.

This is why I think change(to my site) could make a difference. Even if the coloring.

Do some of you make changes or stay the same??? Just a minor change not a whole new site.

I am not burning this but still smell Twigs and Berries after 6 hours.Scent is coming from the basement.

What I am burning is Kaumquat. I have had it in the basment for 2 years. Just a small flower pot votive but thinking about bringing this scent back. The reason I went for this today is a customer called.Wanted 10 aromatherapy candles and then ALL of my old candles. No matter what condition the labels are in. I came up with 30 for her but could have a few more.

My basement is looking better now. After Christmas will finish it off. Getting organized after Christmas,shows,online orders,and me having 2 surgeries and husband having 2.
