  2. yeah definitly not worth it i think its way up north jersey or atleast north central... i live in south jersey and i am NOT driving almost 6 house back and forth and paying $600 plus gas, food, hotel and whatever else

  3. haha this is funny cause i saw an e-mail in my box and deleted it read this post looked at my deleted mail and there it is i got the same thing.. never heard of it don't even know where red bank is (i'm a bad new jersian)

  4. There is no way on the planet earth that I would be stupid enough to think that coffee wouldn't give me second degree burns. She should have lost it.

it didn't give her second it gave her third. and the coffee was found to be i think it was 20 degrees hotter then it should be kept at. and contrary to popular belief she wasn't driving either she was the passenger whoever was driving had stopped the car so she could add cream and sugar and when she took the lid off it spilled

  5. there's nothing wrong with using bases if you find the quality is up to your standards. i use the lip balm base for BCN and wouldn't try and make it myself for anything i love this base and everyone else does to. i also use M&P soap so i don't have to mess with lye. i have a 1 year old in my house chemicals like that are not welcome wether she has acess to them or not. and we also use a sprayable lotion base. i just make sure i don't lead people to belive its handmade i market as hand crafted since i do add to them and change them a bit

  6. Thanks for all of the responses! Yes, I am looking to making it myself. I hope that it goes over well! I'm in Missouri, and it will be a nice town that I'm selling, so we will see.

"use a goats milk base add ground oatmeal, honey and powdered goats milk everyone loves it"

That sounds wonderful! So you take oatmeal, and just blend in the blender, then add? Should I just add ingred. till it looks right?

Also, do you all take supplies, then x by 3 to get your price? That is what I have read to do. I guess I'm just nervous to be asking people to pay 3-5 dollars per bar of soap for melt and pour. If people would pay that, great! Is that the price you all normally charge?

Thank you so much for your replies, it helps me out a lot!

yeah for 2lbs of gaotsmilk i add about 2tbsp of honey 2 tbsp of powdered goats milk let it form a skin mix the skin in and add about a cup of oatmeal.. i pour it a little warm so some of the oatmeal suspends and some settles on the bottom i pour into a silicone muffin pan and charge $3 a bar

  7. man these post offices will charge you anything if they think they can get away with it. if i remember correctly not that long ago someone had a problem with them charging her extra saying insurance was mandatory or something.
