ok i want to make a melt and pour soap with oatmeal, and honey in a goats milk base. my question is if i add oatmeal and honey to it do i need to add a preservative. i've been searching m&p and preservatives on here with no luck. do melt and pour bases need preservatives or do they already have it?

i don't know about peppermint i'm not sure i'm ready to experiment with tingle factors lol

i think i'm gonna do vanilla java, hazelnut java, and chocolate java. i can't think of anything else to go with coffee. but trust me ladies if it works i will be SURE to let everyone know. you'll prob hear me yelling from the roof tops and i'll be charging $20 an ounce lol J/K

i stand by ng's oils 10 for $20 they come up as lik $2.50 each but ones you add 10 to your cart it takes off $5 there are some oils that are almost $3 but not very many

bermuda triangle is AWESOME as is monky farts and mango papaya, banana nut bread is good and the red apple usally knocks people off their feet. everyone loves the juniper breeze. cool spring has been a good seller for men. and lick me all over is pretty good oh and i just got their italian biscotti OH MY GOD i want to eat my candles. but yeah i've gone through at elast 50 of their oils (which is nothing if you look at their list) but their really good

ugg you and me both... from what i've 'read' it supposed to work cause it has caffine in it or something i dunno.. but trust me i'm gonna be my own guniea pig on this stuff and if it works i don't think i'll be selling it just making if every day for myself lol... i wonder if you can over scrub

most wax will do that once their cooled you'll want to pour a little extra to fill in the sink hole but just up to where the original fill line is. no biggie like i said alot of wax does that but you can get one pour wax (don't know if it actually works i'm straight 415 never tried a '1 pour'

ok i found this recipe somewhere i could have sworn it was in the archives for the last board but i couldn't find it to save my life all i want to know is does it need a perservative and if so what and how much?

1/4c fresh coffee grounds

3/4 c brown sugar

5/8 c olive oil

1ml. vanilla fo or one of choice

i know WSP has a sprayable lotion base. a friend just ordered it i'll let you know how it goes for her test it out see if its greasy or not

I dont know if this will help but i have included a pic of the snowman in the bath that i did a couple of years ago. I poured my white layer, added my shreds. Then I would carefully zap it with the heat gun to settle them down some what so you loose the coconut effect. HTH

oh man thank you soooo much that looks so much easier then a fork lol... thats perfect i'll try that on the ones i already have with the white layer and coconut... hehe you should see my fridge its got a HUGE bag of white soap shavings in it only way to keep them seperated... being in the fridge won't screw up my soap right? lol

Just out of curiosity, if "tart" can't be used then why does Wal-Mart use it on their brand of wax melts? I know I've seen that wording on a few other brands available in stores as well, I just can't remember where.

Not that it's a big deal to me or anything, I was just interested because it seems that every time someone mentions using "tart" on a site they get tore up over it.

honestly i'm don't get the whole yank** having a trademark on 'tart' but should the do i don't want them coming after me for using it. but as far as walmart i don't even think a candle company as big as them could touch walmart. but if it was me the could just grind me right into the ground

i only use cd wicks, and i use 415 soy from NG

i've got the chocolate cherries, passionate kisses and pink sugar love all of them.. you can't go wrong with NG as far as i'm concerned

yes soyis a pain in the butt.. depending on your soy and the temp in your house, and temp of your jars and color of your hair (ok not really) it can do something differnt i found with my soy if i pour at like 160 it turns out pretty darn good i usually have to blast the tops with my emobossing gun to make it 'perfect'

def invest in an embossing gun or heat gun the darker the dye the more frosting you may end up with.. you'll get the hang of it then soy will do soemthing else lol.. its fun though keeps you thinking

hoestly i think you'd get alot of interest there's a couple people in the co-op thread that said they missed out and then us... you'd def hit atleast a case or two

lol i used to then i got lazy with it being memorized for me plus its his card lol no bank on earth would ever allow me a credit card and i'm not into paying fees to spend money i much prefer his card it pays us to spend money WOOOHOOO....
