Glad to hear these are staying true.
Mine all faded within 2 weeks. I know Shutterbugg was having this same problem, that's why I was curious about these, I wonder if it's b/c mine had so much color in them?
I may try the paper again someday when I have some free time and am feeling generous with my M&P.
i didn't add any color or scent to mine so that may be why their not fading.
Here's one of the ones i made like a month ago just for practice. it was prob more then a month ago but it'll give you an idea. remember these were the rough draft

i have a pic on the main page of my website if you scroll down. its not a farmers market and its only one table (we had two but the other table just had bath accesories and clearance stuff on it) its not a farmers market but its something

i sent you a request from my business one i'm leolilys, but later i'll prob send you a request from my personal one.

I made a prayer box necklace about a month ago for a Christian friend of mine. Instead of writing on a piece of paper and trying to fit that into the box, i did something else. I sent along a small packet of beads in assorted colors (each color means something different) and then every morning, she is supposed to put whatever color of bead in the box that correlates with her mood or whatever.
Also, I got this particular prayer box at Walmart because I needed it fast!
that is a really really good idea. i have a charm that works kinda like that its more like a clamshell though you can see the bead through it. you should market something like that

actually they can be kinda popular depending on the crowd your working with. alot of 'goth' kids would be into something like that (i use the term goth loosely very very loosely) and i used to know a couple of druggies who would use them to hide certain drugs. its really sick when you think about it. i love them i think their very neat.

I like those, but what I'd really like to know is how these are holding up? I used the water soluble paper, and all my beautiful soaps and now all foggy and blurry and almost non-existent.
I have tons of that paper, and just hate to waste soap on it, if that's the end result.
Could you post a recent pic. of that same soap?
I'd love to pick Maryann's brain about how she keeps hers from doing what mine do.
the ones i actually still have are holding up fine a matter of fact ones that i made several months ago are still fine when hubby brings home the camera i'll snap pics

i've never had that problem i mean the first couple of times usps had to drop off at our house they would beep the horn to let us know they were there but i think thats because of the fact that we have two front doors and they were trying to figure out which one to use (my educated guess in that situation would be to use the one we put the porch on but whatever) with both ups and usps we ended up with a couple packages on the other landing but rarely ups and fed ex caught on pretty quickly to the whole porch thing

Wow! I've heard Prarieannie does really nice work. I didn't realize you could get a website designed for that little. I thought it'd be more like a couple hundred just on the low end! I like your website BTW.
thanx much

i used handcraftmarket, its $16.99 a month and Prarieannie designed my webset for me Its $50 for a custom webset or you can purchase a premade. i love it PA does AWESOME work. you can check out my site www.leolilys.com i highly highly highly reccomend them
-
Site looks great, PA def does good work she did my site to, dont know what i'd do without her
-
the names is cute but i would definitly shorten it for a website like ours is Leolilys Handmade Luxuries but our website is just leolilys.com. people don't want to have to type and entire sentence into their browser and that increases the chances of spelling mistakes and people not even bothering
-
oh yeah that would def get scary i couldn't do that to people. our craft relies on our eyesight i'd hate to have anyone lose that because of me LOL
-
i get the cinnamon from NG cinnamon sticks, it'll burn your nose hairs off (if you have any)

Great! Any ideas on what you would like to see? The theme will be all-natural.
can you elaborate more on the all natural. i'm assuming your refering to natural waxes and stuff. but this will be my first gathering lol so i don't know if i'm missing something
-
oh i am so in this will be awesome

well after i saw the water paper tutorial i really wanted to play with it but then forgot about it and when my friend came to me about doing favors for her brothers wedding they mention an oval soap with intertwined rings and the tutorial came into my head so i thought about putting their names in and it went from there
-
its water soluble paper. there's actually a tutorial on here somewhere

if their the ones i have yeah their REALLY clear.. but mine may be different their almost platic like
-
2% + $.20 per transaction

thanx everyone these things are such a pain to make they need to be done in 3 layers well 4 if you count the inserts as a layer. and we need to make 100 of them
-
these are the wedding favors were doing for my friends brothers wedding. 3oz soaps i know the pictures are horrible. each soap is being shrink wrapped, wrapped in tulle and tied with a red ribbon to match their wedding colors.
To partner or NOT to partner...that is the question

its a very hard desicion to make. i have a partner but for the most part what we do are completly seperate i do candles she does smelly jellies, and lotion sprays we work together on lip balms and and we each have our own soaps. it gives us each our own things so down the road if we did decide to split its not gonna kill either one of us to do our own thing but at the same time we both have equal say in anything business wise. neither one of us decides anything without talking to the other one first. but it might be easier for us because we weren't 'best' friends before we started this we met through our boyfriends who are friends started hanging out to get our kids aquainted built a friendship around then and then built a business relationship on top of that. our friendship has gotten stronger through all this but its not effecting business at all. i'll have to let her know about this thread so she can hopefully put her 2 cents in. (i just hope she feels the same way i do lol)
