  1. I used a glue gun I had laying around for a long time, but the wicks kept coming lose until I realized there was a difference between low and high temp guns/wax. I was using a low heat wax/gun, rather than a high heat, hence they always came lose when the melt pool reached the bottom. I bought a high heat glue gun and wax at the Dollar Store and after that the wicks never came lose.
  2. I usually gently smooth the wax out wih my fingertips. I haven't had success with smoothing tops with my heat gun.

  11. Caramel apple from Peaks in C-3 and V-1 is my strongest scent! I get lots of compliments.
  12. Candlescience www.candlescience.com has a nice selection and has become my favorite for LX and HTP wicks. :smiley2:
  13. Very nice! I love the mix of colors, paricularly the votives and pillar.
  14. If after you try Candlescience's and you like them, they sell bags of 1000 at about half the cost. Just ordered my first bag of 1000 from them, as the 100 bags went so fast!
  15. Hi and welcome! Another idea to darken your colors is to add a small amount of black dye in addition to the main color.

  17. I tried Candlescience's lavender that produced a mild cold and good hot throw in soy V-1/ C-3 votives.
