Lots of suppliers we now buy from started out on ebay. They doesn't mean they are all good. I have heard candlechem has some good ones
-
I use paraffin or para/soy blend for tarts. The wax I love best for tarts is CBL 141

Does anyone know of a reputable wholesaler in the south? I am in North FL.
If you need that much, don't you already have a supplier you use?

Need help with three more fragrances. I will be making containers and votives. Do ya'll think this to many fragrances to start out with?
I also would like some help with type of containers to use.
I will be using the elevation jars 16oz. and 10oz. net weight and
8 oz. jelly jar. I need some help with some other jars that are great sellers that are not so hard to wick. Any opinions here will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
A cinnamon buns would be nice to add.

I've ordered a lot from them with excellent customer survice. Their dried apples and cinnamon sticks is fantastic as well as creme de la creme, and many more. I bought a bottle of almond paste liquid dye and it is orange. The answered my email immediately and sent out another the next day.

Who and where is the scented bean might I ask? I am a vanilla freak, just hearing the words best vanilla and I get all excited I've got the vanilla pearl, the voodoo, southern vanilla, ultimate vanilla, vanilla buttercream crunch. I normally use KY's coconut cream pie and that has been a good seller for me as country vanilla. I'm constantly on the quest for a strong throwing vanilla that will put an end to my endless search, LOL. I still need to burn a lot of these, guess I am just obsessed with vanilla.
Sorry to highjack the thread. What you could do is get some basic scents and mix them to come up with more scents. You would of course still have to test to see if they even work for you. Now there will be your biggest expense.

NP!
I know how frustrating it can be! I think you will be pleased! The Heavenly Cinnamon Buns are RIDICULOUSLY good. I tested it immediately after it set up and the throw was ridiculous. Too bad my wick sucked!
But I digress.....
Never purchased anything from the scented bean, but that cinnamon buns sounds fantastic!

You guys should try CD or LX wicks, they are perfect for soy or soy/para blends.
-
You can use any wax, pillar, votive, soy/para blend

Just Scent
NG
Tennessee Candle Supply
-
French Vanilla form NG, or Becky's Ultimate Vanilla or vanilla buttercream crunch
-
I would start with a soy/paraffin blend first, JMO
-
Most of Yankme candles have the wicks off center also.
-
WOW, those are soooooooo pretty!
-
I don't think relief holes are nesessary for tapers.
-
great burn there Eugenia

Those colors are so pretty!

LOL, you do have a great sense of humor. I like the top candle, poor baby that got dropped, LOL

I've never added anything other than 3 Tablespoons of stearic per lb of wax.
Recent discussions of the low oil retention (3%) of the 1343 got me thinking.
For this pillar I used the 3T of stearic, 1/2 t of vybar 103, 1/2 t of uv inhibitor and 1 t of fisher trop micro crystals. I had to heat the wax to 210 for the additives to dissolve completely. I added 7% FO at 180 (1.25 ounces) and cooled to 150, then poured as usual.
Much to my surprise, the additives did not have an adverse effect and the candle was dry and fragrant. Took 3 views for you.
Pretty as always Eugenia

Hey Eugenia, get the boxing gloves on, LOL. Just messing with you.
-
Much ado about not much. If you have a 9 ounce hex jar, just label it 9 ounces. This stuff doesn't even come close to false advertising.
-
Agree topofmurryhill. Only reason I ever heard of for shaking an FO bottle is if ice crystals somehow got in there, OR FLAKES
-
Guy's you are not false advertising..Many items are weight controled by the jar itself...When you go to the store..Do you take the can or jar home..Pour out the contents weigh the container then seperate the juice weigh it..then the product itself??? If the jar is stated 8 or 16 etc..etc..that is what should be stated unless you are selling scents per pound instead of liquid ounces in a 16 ounce bottle...Kind regards, linda
LMAO, how true.

Now that is the way they should look, very, very nice. It's all in which wax you use, that is why some look grainy and yours look creamy.

I thought you should never melt wax over direct heat???
You are lucky you were in the same room and the whole house didn't burn down.
