Those are pretty! My Dollar general is such a pig stye, Iwon't even go in anymore.

Nothing wrong with leaving it carrot cake if it is a best seller for you. Maybe you will confuse your customers, IMO
-
I don't like just plain soy, I think you will be happier with a blend. No cons to speak of, IMO. Throw is much better, no smoking wicks, white junk etc.

How about black and blue?

I have got all my scents tested but am down to 2 that I need some help with.
Can someone tell me a good source for a true smelling and strong pumpkin pie or pumpkin spice. (Which ever one smells the best, or is your best selling). I tested one that had a bad fuel smell. The other 2 didn't smell very good.
Also need a good smelling oatmeal cookie. Need the supplier of these 2 fragrances please.
Thanks so much,
Mike
Just Scent has a good pumpkin spice

New to candlemaking, I have done bath and body forever and want to try something new. Can anyone suggest a good wax to start out with that requires little effort (I don't want to get discouraged to quickly) but get's a good scent throw?
I would go with a preblended first, that 1343 is not all it's cracked up to be, I know everybody loves it. Just can't get past that low FO load, even with additives, still not enough for me.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I weigh out the wax for each batch, melt, pour into the pour pot, color, scent, toss the next batch of wax into the presto, etc. It takes 3X as long to melt 3X as much wax. I find this method super easy and not any slower as the presto is pre-heated.
If I am doing a large batch all the same, I melt, color scent right in the presto, then use the pour pot to pour, refilling as I go.

I'm with you E, weighing a presto post, well, that is almost ludicrous, IMO

Someone on this board posted this site;
http://getorganizedcandles.com/enter.html (great site)
click on the right side under sample containers
they have little plastic swing top containers and they also have little 1/2-3oz poly cons ( little white containers that the lids stay attached). I was thinking about tring these. Has anyone tried these already and do they hold the frangance??
TIA
Thant's a nice site, thank you for posting

You can also buy a few more presto's, they are worth the small investment, JMO

WOOHOO!! Good

LOL. I can't say that about any supplier including justscent. The Pine Forest is truly awful. Pine Cleaner would be a far more fitting name.
e
LOL, that is one I don't have

Haven't had a bad one yet from there. I don't think you can go wrong with what ever you choose. I have at least 25 of Becky's scents.

Just a suggestion, 6228 is great by itself for tarts. You really don't have to mix it with J223. If you insist, I would go 75/25. Just scent and color and pour at 180 or so. There are a ton of great places to buy fragrance oils. Just Scent, Natures Garden, Tennessee Candle Supply, Southern Sensations, the list goes on.

Thats a dirty trick that has been around for years. Sample is full strength. Then when you order the larger amount is diluted. I would never do business with that company again.
Never heard of that happening and I buy from quite a few suppliers. Most reputable suppliers do NOT dilute their oils. Watch who you buy from.

I have been waiting weeks to order this wax from peaks and i went to see if it was in yet and its dicontinued, What happened? Anyone know where i can get the A version close to NY? Im a little shocked as i thought this wax was the best so i started useing it and now its gone.Lin
That wax is way over rated IMO

Not much of a selection though.

Just Scent sends many free samples with every order. 1 ounce samples, not a 1/2 ounce you can't do anything with.

That is Hobby Lobby wax, which is just a straight paraffin, similiar to 1343. It is also a good wax to blend with.
