  1. I am sorry to LMAO, but dear God in Heaven, can you take a picture anywhere in your house that isn't filthy or at least crop out the crap. And it's back to the drawing board for you, so sad to say. I have looked at all your candles and most have wicks way off center. I am hoping all your candles are still in the testing stages and you haven't actually tried to sell any yet. JMO

  2. I wished I was related to Bailey LOL . I will ask her and hundreds of others out there how they do it , and see what input they give me as to making it safety . I know of the Dangers and figured they do if they buy it , seeing it is

    to pour on you .

But will definately get in contact with the people that sell these items and see how they do it

Get some counseling first as to the reason anyone would want to pour hot wax on their body. Maybe some hidden fantasy of yours will come out and give you and them the answer.

  3. Yikes. I was reading the instructions for my new candle warmer (Sensible Aromas by Provo Craft...Wal-Mart). It says, "Never use the warmer with vegetable wax based candles. Using vegetable based wax candles on the warmer is likely to cause the candle to explode." Holy Moly!!

Anyone know if this is true for parasoy candles?? I was planning on giving relatives some parasoy wickless and candle warmers for Christmas. Now I'm not so sure. Phoeey.

Anyway, just wanted to pass along the warning.

    D

Not True, that is just ridiculous.

  4. Anything else you'd like to know? LOL

Start with a votive kit, that's the easiest IMO.

I searched the interenet for months, candle boards, anything I could get my hands on because I was determined to make a better candle than those I had purchased, included the crummy Yankme. Made my first and last batch in the kitchen, woo wee, don't know how anyone can stand that. You need a lot of ventilation and opening windows isn't enough. So in the garage I went and DH put in plenty of exhaust fans and heating and air conditioning.

I don't want to make just one kind of candle, just one's that people actually burn, not just look at.

I have already made my ultimate candle, that being all of them, LMAO

  5. A friend gave me a Circle E candle as a thank you gift. I have to say they look nice and the cold throw is pretty good. I decided to light it tonight to see how it burned. I am very impressed. It has a great hot throw and a good even melt pool. I was able to tell they use zinc wicks when I trimmed the wick. It does not smoke and so far no soot build up on the container. I'd have to say, they make a nice candle.

Do you make candles? Strange gift if you do?

  6. Doug,

I have been testing the 16oz tin on my warmers ( which are 24 watts) I doubt that there will be anyone out there with a warmer that is more than 24 watts and if there is, I havent heard of it. Yes, they get hot. In the beginning I was nervous about it, but after several days of testing them ( even with overloaded FO to see what they would do ) I have decided that they are fine for the warmers as long as you make sure the consumer has been well informed.

For glass, the taureens ( 20oz ) are my favorite. The opening at the top is so wide that it allows for a better throw. Here is a link to the taureens I am talking about:

And, you are 100% on target for wondering about the people that do not have common sense. I would say that when it comes to fire and danger, there are many people that have no common sense. Fires happen all the time, and danger is considered "sport" in this crazy world we live in.

    HTH

    Michael

Can I ask where you get warmers in 24 watts?

  7. I think it's a great idea. Sure will save you tons of testing with wicks. A lot more people are liking tarts these days with the warmers being so cheap and readily available. Also the wickless candles are becoming popular. I have several people who order nothing but wickless and I love it when they do! Just make sure you don't put them in a big jars unless the wattage is at least in the 21-24 range on the warmers.halwcats.gif
