  1. A admirable job of rationalizing your behavior (a somewhat better job than when you defended outing someone's private information, I must concede). I wonder if you have trauma victims to rationalize all your other dysfunctional posts.

Since you spend most of your online energy ridiculing this community, I don't know why you come around. You may not feel like the smartest person in the room where you usually hang out, but you aren't that here either.

We like Christina better than you. So take the hint.

Mr innocent..LOL. Why don't you tell your friends here you've been making fun of them. You should have kept your know it all mouth shut. Get off your high horse Mr Top of the s*** hill. And please don't try to lie your way out of it. There is proof.

  2. OK.. I am done with this post.. Scents For Me.. To sit there and pm me and tell me that my friends on here are ignorant is just downright rude!!!!!!!!!! I am sorry that you had a friend get hurt in a house fire non related to candles , but do NOT take that crap out on me. I don't deserve it. You mistook the whole freaking thread. You are on ignore now as I will not put up with this. Go back to your box where you belong...

    SCENT WROTE

Sorry girl, you do need to. If I were you, I'd never play games with wax again. Maybe never even cook dinner again. When you do finally burn your house down, I will be waiting for the crying to begin.

I wrote ----- Well that is funny. I have had floods of PM's about you and told me to ignore you because they know who you are and you start crap... I don't cook dinner alot because I have a husband who loves to .. I am blessed... HAHAH

    Thank God for that.

SCENT WROTE----Goodie with your flood of emails, they are as screwed up as you if they can laugh at a fire, any fire. I have a friend who was terribly burned in a house fire, NOT candle related. Her whole life is ruined and she suffered more than you could ever imagine. So keep LOLOLOLOL about it, you and your ignorant PM friends.

    Christina

Excuse me, you pm'd me first, little girl. How old are you, 12?

  3. I know we are playing follow the leader, just can't figure out who is the leader.

Any one of you LOLOLOLOL people, ever know a burn victim? A horribly burned body, a life that will never be the same? How about how fast a fire can burn a house down, a little thing you think may be under control.

Didn't think so. Keep on laughing, it's so very very funny.

There's a place for people like you.

  4. Trying to find humor in situations that weren't funny, after the fact, it the human nature way of dealing with things. That doesn't mean, in any way, shape or form, that we think it's acceptable to be careless. However, accidents WILL happen. All we can do is try to be careful, and hope nobody/nothing is seriously injured/damaged.

This thread is a light hearted reminder that this hobby/business can be dangerous. And on that note, I agree... take a CHILL PILL! :rolleyes2

Funny, I have never had one. If I did, I surely wouldn't be screwing around any more. This chick has had more than one "accident". I know some things are funny after the fact, fire not being one of them.

  5. Girl you need to relax that posterior sphincter muscle and go see a professional about this fire complex of yours. 75% of your posts here andnationwide are declarations of what is going to burn down the house or the neighborhood or the world. It's getting weird already.

It's not me with a fire complex, nor the one in need of a professional on this matter. True, I don't post much here, just read. When I see a post about "someone almost burning their house down", I feel compelled to post. Some day one of you will burn the house down, then we can see how funny it really is. It is not a laughing matter, and certainly not weird. What is funny is the amount of people who think it is funny. Maybe a group step program is in order.

  6. I got a wild hair up my butt to make some candles with Palm Wax tonight. Just votives, messing with some sample FO's that I want to get rid of that I am not selling to my customers. So , after melting all the wax and getting ready to get my molds out of the oven, I took a dye block ( from candlewic) and tried to cut off a little bit.. I have tons of 1 color block and trying to use them up.. So.. Here I am.. Cutting and WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    BOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Explosion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    LOL

The dye chip flew into the range that I had turned on. Yeah, FIRE.. I stood there for a second going " Umm, what do I do" LOL All I hear is my husband who was on the phone with my mom go " Uh oh, Mrs Pyro is at it again" He comes in and puts it out for me.. I was screaming " Where are my CT Buds to help me put the fire out" LOL

So hubby told me to let it cool completly before turning it back on. I looked at him and thought to myself " DUH" .. I actually knew that!!!! So , I rushed, turned on the other range, finished and poured..

Um, Don't you all have ESP when I am thinking and come to my rescue??? lmfao

Ohhhh Another fire for me ... I should be keeping track of these experiments. LOL

    Christina

You actually think all this is funny? Girl, you need to step away from wax all together. Seriously. I find no humor in the fact you have had multiple fires. And everyone else laughing has a big problem also. Just hope you have no children in your house.

  7. Just a suggestion. The one's at uline do not appear to be the correct ones. If you have an Ace hardware by you, they can suggest and order the correct one for you along with the changeable filters. Be sure to get the half mask one. The others are too distracting to wear, such as the ones at Home Depot. They are way too big and not necessary for these type of chemicals.

Edit to add: Just looked at mine, it is model #6003 made by 3M

  8. I was at Wal-Mart yesterday and they had slew coffee mug warmers in the Christmas sale rack for only 80 cents apiece. I could not tell from the packaging what wattage the warmers were, though. Does anyone have any idea of coffee mug warmers can be used as candle warmers.

Those particular one's are only 9 watts, that's why they don't work. They also had the Rival mug warmers for $2.50. Now those are great and are 20 or 21 watts, can't remember. But I bought a ton of them. They have them every year around Christmas. Rival sells them for $15.00 if purchased from them, LOL

  9. SOS, what another stupid article. Trim the wicks, no soot, unless of course the candle is not made properly. I have never had to replace one single thing in my house due to soot.

One homeowner in Texas faced nearly $200,000 in damages and replacement costs because of candle soot. The soot particles infested her heating and cooling ductwork, which had to be replaced. Much of her furniture was covered by candle soot.

LMAO, probably had 10 inch high flames

  10. Maybe I had better stay away from candle making altogether. I had been reading posts before I started making candles- and had found that it was fairly easy to cut yourself on molds- so I decided to stay away from those and stick with container candles. (I accidently cut a tendon in my right hand a year or two ago- didn't want to go through that again) Anyway- I started cutting the wax- First I used thread tied between two dowels- it was killing my hands, though, and the thread kept breaking. So I bought a cake divider- and it worked well until I broke it. It was the middle of the night, and I remembered I had a set of paring knives I'd bought just for craft purposes, so I got one out. I managed to stab through my left hand- not a good first week for candle-making. If pillar wax is more difficult- I had better steer clear of it.

    Surely you jest

  11. I am speechless :shocked2:

Ok, not completely. This is about one of the rudest posts I've ever seen here! Completely uncalled for. Personally I don't consider a printer "filth", but even if there were a big mess behind it, it would be beside the point. This gallery isn't just for showing off photography, but for showing our hard work. Yes, she may need to work on her techniques and centering some, but she is trying. If we don't show our work and get CONSTRUCTIVE feedback on it, it makes it much harder to know what we still need to work on. This board is for sharing and learning, not tearing people down. JMO

Keep posting dayglow and just ignore the rude members. Some people just have a need to put other people down. Maybe it makes them feel better about themselves. Whatever the reason, it has no bearing on you ;)

Keep those post numbers up ducky, don't want you falling behind. You guys don't give any critisism. It's all oohs and aahs for everything posted. Now how will that help anyone? Not one person mentioned the uncentered wicks if I remember correctly, especially on the egg candles. Sure, let her go ahead and put the wicks anywhere. Going south for the winter?

Bet if someone posted a pic of a lit candle with a flame 3 feet high, no one would mention anything about it. They all qualify for the Candle Hall of Fame around here.

  12. You are a very rude person Donna. What on earth would you do if you did not have Happy Basher to dangle your puppet strings. Are you trying to rank high on the suck pole? Please do everyone here a favor and keep your rude comments on the bash board where they belong.

Another lurker, you must enjoy that board to read it, LOL. Why you people always bring that up is beyond me. Stating the truth is not being rude. Hard to see a candle amist all the other stuff. The printer in this case wasn't as much of a problem as the pringle can and trash can and unmade bed.

BTW, who are you? 2 posts, must have a ton to say huh?
