  1. I am completely disgusted with C&S 1275 wax and stopped using it. The inconsistency was outrageous. Had to replace a bunch of candles this past season due to it. Switched over to JS 50/50 and love it. Was able to use same wicks, jars and amount of FO per pound as I did in the 1275. Hope that helps. BTW....C&S should be ashamed of themselves for selling wax that is this rotton. I used it for 6 years and all of a sudden they stated that they were "getting seconds" from the manufacturer. I know that is not true. Talked to Chris at CJ Robinson (the supplier) and they said they would never send out seconds to one of their clients. Something just doesn't add up. Go figure!!!
  2. I would pull baby's breath and the little orange berries that are on top all the way around the crown.

  9. "Ignore" is a great feature on this board. That way you don't have to hear, see, read....the same thing over and over again from certain individuals. It's great.....Just like that...they disappear ~

  15. Last year my MIL bought me a dozen plastic hangers that are hand crocheted over them to hold sweaters, delicates etc ..... The lady who made them at her church has stopped making them. Does anybody make these on here?
  16. Do you have to call to get the sale price? When I went to the shopping cart, it still said $2 per 1oz sample. I usually get their newsletter....dang it....(flipping through emails now). Anybody have the answer? :undecided Yeah...I found it.... Sale of the Month 1oz fragrance samples 1.00 No free shipping on special. Please put Jan. News in comments to get the deal. Will not show on cart invoice.
  17. I did one of their shows last year in Maryland. They were unhelpful and the attendance sucked. It was a show in October...towards the end when all the craft shows are starting up. There were probably 150 vendors in four buildings. My particular building had 9 candle makers in it. I even had one right across from me and next to me. Imagine my surprise when I addressed them about it and they said "well that is the floor plan that was made for this show...no switching!!" Cost me $280 to do a weekend show and I vowed never to do a show with them again. On top of that....even though they advertise "hand made" crafts only. The other building had a lot of candle makers in them including Mia Bella candles that are pre-manufactured and re-sold at shows. The total show had 22 candle makers. When I asked them about why Mia Bella Candles were at the show....they said they needed to fill the spots to make the show look fuller. Not to mention there were Cingular Wireless dealers, Real Estate Agents, Insurance Agents and Home Interiors, Tastefully Simple and Arbonne. I would never do another one of there shows. HTH, Denise
  18. I mix FO and color at 180 and pour around 160 to 155. Seems the cooler I pour.....the better the set up. There are no re-pours on this...doesn't shrink. Oh yeah.....pre-tabbed zinc core wicks .....always. Nice clean burn in 10oz Victorian jars.
  19. I've tried both....her 50/50 is a mirrored image to C&S 1275. The throw is phenomenal both hot and cold. Little to no shrinkage and colors fantastic with liquid coloring. Doesn't pull away from the jar either. Her 70/30 is a little firmer wax. Still sets up nice. Good hot and cold throw....but I feel like the throw is better on the 50/50. Just my opinion.
  20. I do know that Becky at Just Scent gets the same wax that Cindy gets. The same manufacturer sends it to Becky, she just calls hers JSB - 50-50 SOY BLEND. The company that makes this wax is C.J. Robinson.
  21. The batch that is giving me so much trouble I got about six weeks ago (give or take a week). I don't want another kind of wax for replacement. I want another case of 1275...so that I can see if that works. Especially since all of my FO's and wicks have been tested in that application. Of course now I won't go and make nine dozen candles with it. I will pour a few and then try them out before investing all of that money into them. That's a waste of a lot of money (wicks, FO, jars, TIME!!!) Not to mention my regular customers that are questioning my candles because all of a sudden they are not burning like they used to. I'm pissed off
  22. What did they replace your wax with? I would think that they would send another case of 1275 to replace it with....like a Good Batch for example.
  23. For the love of God !!! All of the scents that I made (all nine boxes of them....to deplete a full case of this wax) have been the hit and missers that I am speaking of..... AAAGGGHHH!!! Of course these were all scents that were tried and true and tested and tested...so who would think that they would drown out? Now I am MAD!!! Off to send Cindy an email. Thank you guys for beings so helpful.... Kisses, Denise
  24. Hi Everyone.... Looking for a little insight here. I have been using C&S 1275 wax for years now. (This is a 50/50blend). I always use pre-tabbed zinc core wicks and for the most part they do the trick in my 10oz Victorian Jars. However.....I have noticed on a hit and miss basis....some of my wicks drowning out. I use 1oz FO per lb of wax even though this wax can hold up to 1.5oz per lb. Talked to Cindy at C&S and she suggested the pre-tabbed paper core wicks. She said that they would burn a little hotter, since the natural properties of soy and it varies from batch to batch could be a little heavy in some batches. Does anyone have any comments or history using the Paper Core wicks with this wax? Any information would be so helpful. Note: Tried Paper Core wicks and they didn't work either..... Thanks a bunch!!! -Denise :smiley2:
