  1. Which jar has what wax in it? And what about scent throw? Dixie
  2. I sold one of my previous homes to the fire chief in our town and I had a potpouri pot going and he said the worst fire in the history of our town was from that! He said do not use those. Just an FYI Dixie
  3. Personally I would never buy a Pier 1 candle anyway. There other stuff is ok but I have never liked their candles. Dixie
  4. I say it is miss goody two shoes loss......where will she get her awesome candles now? The porn shop? HA Dixie
  5. Yes you need to wick up from their chart. I use a blend....70/30. I LOVE those wicks and they are truly self trimming. If you wick your candle correctly that is. Dixie
  6. Keep the results coming Henryk.....I used to use Joy and now am on to the 70/30 with great results. I cannot even remember why I quit using the Joy other than I have a short attention span. I use the wick-it wicks 700 series. I am just ready to turn professional after 1 and a half years of testing. Dixie
  7. I would choose GL 70/30 as it is very easy to work with and has an awsome throw with very little cure time. This is a container wax only and is very soft. I used the CB 135 a long time ago and did not like the throw but I know some of the others on here like it. Dixie
  8. It does not make sense to me why that wick is so long. It looks to me like the wax got dumped out. JMO. Dixie
  9. I have been using the 700 series in greenleaf 70/30 do you think that is the best bet? I like them but am always looking for the BEST!Dixie
  10. With what type of wax, if you don't mind me asking.Dixie
  11. I have burnt myself out on that one. (get the pun) Dixie
  12. It could be the height of your neck tab that is keeping it from burning all the way down. Some leftover wax in the container is good to avoid fires. Dixie
  13. I take 2 craft sticks (popsicle sticks) put them together and secure them with clothespins. Make sure they are pulled tight. Works great and is cheap!Dixie
  14. I was at my hair salon the other day and they had a Gold Canyon candle burning at the register. Very interesting I must say......Black soot all over the jar......off center double wicks and BIG mushrooms on the wicks. So for all of us out there in candle land that is very good news as OURS are better! Dixie
  15. How do we know what batch # we have. I have some wax here and am not sure which # it is. Dixie
  16. The jar store used to carry this jar and it is now discontinued. I was wondering if all of you out there in candle land knew who might have them. Thanks a lot! Dixie
  17. I buy my metro's from the Jar Store and have been very happy with them. Dixie
  18. I double wick with 2 premiere (sp) 725's in a 70/30 blend. This works for most FO's. Good luck. Dixie
  19. I use the same wicks as well and double wick my larger jars. I think it makes it easier to tweak.Dixie
  20. Wow! Sounds like lots of experience on the subject. Dixie
