Does anyone know if Daystar is still in business? Because when I go to their website it doesn’t work. Also, does anybody know if Bittercreek North was bought? I am going to need the vanilla stabilizer in the worst way. Thanks in advance,  Kristy.

Hi there, got a request to make body butters and sugar scrubs and I was wondering before I begin whether vanilla fo will turn bath and body products brown?  TIA!

Thanks Shannon, I went ahead and did 5% and can hardly smell it in the product.  I had to get busy because I had a deadline. lol

1% sounds like it would be really weak.

I have searched everywhere on this site, of course probably not good at it. lol  Can someone give me an idea what the percentage of fragrance oil should be per lb. of lotion bar recipe?  It's been ages since I have made them.

Any word if WSP Vanilla Bean Noel is as strong as Tennessee candle?

oh my gosh Belinda!  I want everyone of those scents!  I'm curious....the buttered maple syrup is it strong?  What wax are you using that you put these in?  I use 464.  My most favorite scent I bought from a candle company called Crossroads  is buttered maple syrup.  That scent is so awesome and I would love to be able to make it as it is the bomb.

Trappeur, I just read on a fb candlemaking group that the buttered maple syrup from Just Scents is just like crossroads.  I'm planning on ordering soon because I love their candle!!  I sell my soap to a store in Amish country in the next county to me and this is their number one seller candle.  They have a huge display of the buttered maple syrup candles.

I have found a perfect circle cutter at Hobby Lobby....it literally cuts perfect circles at different sizes of your choice. You can also buy pretty much ANY color card stock, or other thick decorative paper there too. I use my cutter, poke one of my labels in the center, and use decorative hole punches to make a hole for the wick/wicks! It works great for me because I have so many different containers and sizes! Hope this helps someone!

I've never had that happen, I pour between 105-115.  I buy mine from Impact and once they were skunky smelling when I got them

but I opened the box and set them all out in stacks for a few days and it went away.

Wow, would have never thought of opening the box to air them out.  Thanks so much!

Does anyone else have this problem?  Am I pouring to hot?  I made these before to give as gifts, opened them for some people to sniff and they don't smell like the scent.  Smells all of plastic.  What am I doing wrong?  TIA, Kristy

AAA Candle used to carry something like that, but we invested in a cricutter and make our own now. 

Would a cuttle bug machine do the same thing with a die?

Does anyone know where on earth to get these?  You know, the ones with the hole in the middle for the wick? See them everywhere in stores on candles but I have searched high and low with no results.  Can anyone help?  Thanks, Kristy
