  4. I'm sorry for sounding like a big damn dumby. Maybe I am, but one things for sure I'll know what to do the next time. I have rebatched before with 2 lb batches using the microwave., but this time the microwave is just not big enough. I got out the foodsaver and made a huge bag. Tis now in my big crab pot. Won't be long now. Once again thanks for the help.
  5. Maybe i'll be laughing tomorrow
  6. Ok jsut realized the we have a food sealer,,,, will try that.
  7. Ok, I just grated my kunckles off. I'd like to try the boiling bag method. Do you think I can use a garbage bag and tie it off ?? You would'nt believe the mound of shredded soap that I have sitting here. Maybe I could fill some large freezer zip-lock bags fill them up with soap, wait till that softens and smoothes. Pour into a large bowl and add the mango ? Thanks Lisa
  8. Oh thanks I was just thinking of you. AWESOME I LOVE YA So do I jsut melt the mango and add it to the rebatched soap?? Your'e a Godsend. My first 5lb soap batch and I screwed up big time. Thanks Lisa
  9. I made CPRT soap last night and have it curing. I was just looking over the recipe that I used and realized that I forgot the mango!!!. The recipe called for 4.8 ounces. Can i melt the mango and rebatch.... Please say yes!!! Thanks Lisa
  10. Hi, I would like if someone would please explain what steric acid is used for in candle making. Thanks Lisa
  11. Can someone tell me if Vybar and steric acid are used interchangable in candle making. I have alittle of both. I would like to know which one is best. I am thinking of switching to C-3 and it has no additives. I don't know anything about C-3... I am going to try it because Fillmore sells it and they are not far from me. I hate paying postage !!! If I get the C-3 I want to know what additives I will be needing. You all are a great source of info to all us newbies. Thanks ...
  12. Thanks for the info. What wicks do u use with the Ecosoya 135? Do u know of a supplier in the east that carries it? How was the C-3 for u with scent throw using the CD wicks? What size containers do u use?? Thanks again Lisa
  13. I am using CB-125. I used LX14 wick for the Christmas Pear. I am wicking up to LX16. I didn't get a good scent throw with the LX14 I am hoping I will now. In 24 oz of wax i am adding 1.8 oz's of FO, Seems like most of the scents besides redwood cedar and Candy cane , I have had to add extra FO to get a good scent throw. Do you think it might be the wax i am using? I was thinking about using the cargill-3 since I live close to Fillmore ( I hate paying for shipping ) I just don't know much about this wax. I have emailed keith about gettting a couple different brands. Never heard a word. If i get the cargill what wicks are best used in this. Thanks so much. Lisa
  14. HI, for those of use who live near Fillmore cont. .. thir website asks for comments of customers as to what type of wax they should carry. All they carry now is Cargill - 3. I would like to see them get the Eco Soya CB- Advanced. My customers are all requesting soy candles, enviromently friendly and a is a renewable source ect. What do you think we should requestfor them to carry? We need to all email them . First we should all get together and see what we all most favor. Do'n know if they a crazy about carring to many different varities, since they only carry one type now. I am not to good at this, since I am somewhat new. If someone has a bettter idea as to how to get this going, Please step in. Lisa

  18. I think so, i think coconut oil was 39.00 for 5 gals
  19. Not sure if anyone has heard of these people before, I just found out about them yesterday. http://www.goldenbarrel.com I think the prices are reasonable. Hope this helps someone, I am running low on coconut oil myself.
  20. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions about candle making with this scent. I really love this scent. I made 3, 10 oz candles using CBL130 wax using 1oz FO pp of wax. I used LX14 wick, and had to wick up to LX16, still not a great scent throw. Is it the wick?... or do i need more FO pp of wax Thanks Lisa
